Replying To daytona11:  "Yeh fair enough.

Galligan has been good but so have Comerford and Cluxton. Neck and neck at the moment.

I'd imagine if it's a Dublin - Mayo final that Cluxton will get it, especially if they win the AI. But All-Stars based on the Championship to date, it's close."
3 class keepers. Comerford was robbed in 2016 so hopefully he sneaks in this time

Comerford is a seriously underrated GK. Simply because he doesn't play for Dublin or Kerry. He's top class and deserved that Munster title. IMO He is better than Mayo' 's clarke or Kerry's Kealy, just his team is a little under that. . but who knows , he might make a final. Every chance he could.

I don't agree Daytona.Last year Stephen o Brien had a blinder in semi last year and was favourite for poty but did nt get an all star.in 16 Comerford was favourite for all star in goals after semi and he did nt get it either. The semi is big but the final the big decider.

I wouldn't say he was robbed. Himself, cluxton and Clarke that year all had equally good years. I couldn't complain with any of the 3 that year getting it.

Replying To daytona11:  "Dont matter. See how they go in the semi? If Galligan in goal does well he might get the nod. But Comerford or Cluxton might get it either. Who else then? The Dubs done 10 in a row."
Comerford? Is that a wind up ye?

Replying To daytona11:  "Nah I disagree. Cluxton makes them thick. He is one of the reasons they have 10 in a row and are going for 6 All Irelands in a row. If Galligan doesn't concede a heap of goals in the semi we will see then."
What does he do to make them thick? Call them names? 10 Leinster titles in a row has little to do with the all star awards as they are given out based on the past year not past 10 years so not sure where you're coming from there.

The all stars have become a bit stale really.Years ago it was one man one position. Now im not saying it was right but it was better than now.in other words the second best footballer of the year might not get an all star if they were up against the best player for centre back.Players were nominated for one position i.e corner back. Now it was tough.i mean you could have the likes of Michael Murphy David Clifford and Con O Callaghan ANd Cillian O connor going for full forward and only one of them would get an all star.if you did nt play in that position you could nt get an all star in another position.now of course a guy might get an all star and he might not be in the top ten forwards but he was best for his position.
