Looking forward to Louth beating the Dubs next year and Meath and Kildare looking on bewildered - "we didn't know you could do that?" JoeSoap (Donegal) - Posts: 1125 - 23/11/2020 23:01:08 2314397 Link 0 |

Only 45 miles from Ballygawley. Louth always struck me as a rough diamond sort of team, physical and always hard to play against, and def some potential there. essmac (Tyrone) - Posts: 796 - 23/11/2020 23:56:54 2314419 Link 0 |

Great appointment, the man has a passion for football and is not using it as a stepping stone he'll put his all into the job and theres not many outside of Louth that I think you could say that about. galwayfball (Galway) - Posts: 1209 - 24/11/2020 00:23:10 2314426 Link 0 |
Is Jim McGuinness doing anything at the moment? I won't be surprised if he takes the reins somewhere! Rockies (Cork) - Posts: 535 - 24/11/2020 01:17:04 2314430 Link 0 |
Fair play to Louth. Showing real ambition once again. I wish them the best and hopefully they can make real strides under Mickey. From an Antrim perspective I'm a bit raging we've let another opportunity pass us by but hopefully McGinley and O'Neil can bring something new to the table for us. What , what ? Are you suggesting something negative about Mickey ? What , what ? Are you a wee bit defensive there lad ? Maybe think about it a bit about it before assuming the worst.

I nearly fell off my chair when I heard that Mickey was taking over Louth. It shows real intent from Louth, hope this works out for them. Best of luck to Mickey and Louth. Green_Gold (Donegal) - Posts: 1730 - 24/11/2020 10:27:31 2314512 Link 0 |

Good stuff Ollie. It would be great to see Louth climb up the ladder again. Big population there and a big talent pool to draw from. exciting times ahead. Mickey will want to prove that he still has it. The best of luck to both Mickey and Louth in the next 3 years.

Brilliant news for Louth. He will get the very best out of them at both levels. Great news for Antrim also. Enda and Stephen will give them some boost. Mickie has worked in Dundalk for a few years so he's not exactly new to the area. border Gael (Monaghan) - Posts: 746 - 24/11/2020 13:22:03 2314654 Link 0 |
Fair play to Mickey for taking on the challenge that is louth, people think we have poor footballers or whatever are mistaken, a big county population wise who battle 2 league of Ireland soccer teams for kids and adults to play the sport... It's a great appointment for Louth, especially with the U20 aspect of it. A huge population in the county, should be achieving more. burntjelly (Roscommon) - Posts: 3 - 24/11/2020 13:44:15 2314673 Link 0 |
He said recently he wants to get a role back in soccer, whether its coaching or another go at managing.
