Bring All-Ireland SFC Semi-Final To Navan

(Oldest Posts First)

This should be a runner. No crowd, neutral venue, half way. No brainer in my opinion as Pairc Tailteann a great venue. Why should the Dubs have home advantage i Croker?? especially this year when Corporate Boxes or Crowd Capacity not an issue.

I still think the Dubs will win but given that theres no crowd it should be taken out of croke park

I think if we played in Navan we would still have home advantage.

Won't happen, the fresh country air will go to the Dubs heads.

Be happy to host it down in McHale... all our seats are blue, so both counties will feel like they're at home:)

The venue's for the Semi-final's were decided once the new competition format was outlined.

I don't think it will change now because Cavan won Ulster

If the gaa and Dublin didn't bring the semi final vs laois outta croker they are hardly going to bring the semi final out of it.
To be honest I think the semis and final should always be in Croke Park even this year but Dublin getting home advantage (and it is an advantage) in any other round is quite outragous.
Dublin supporters who really are fantastic say its not Dublins fault and we will travel we love travelling etc etc but if they really wanted to win an all ireland the way other counties have to win it they would stand up next year and say right let's get rid of these astrixes and shut people up!
Until this happens other counties have to get louder and louder with their grievance!
Then its heard that the weaker counties love the chance if playing at croker so put it this way vs Cavan , ask the players do you wanna play in croke Park vs Dublin or somewhere where you have a better chance I know the answer you would get.
Call a spade a spade Parnell Park is not Dublins home anymore.

Last I looked they were still TBC on the fixtures list here. Hurling semis both in Croker.

It might be, it might not be.

In modern times, that honour still belongs to the 2018 season when they beat Galway in the semi final.

I wasn't referring to the semi-final, I was talking about the final! I hope I'm wrong, I'd love to see either Cavan, Mayo or Tipp winning it but the Dubs don't do sentimentality!
