Congrats to Donegal, they wanted it more and some of their tactical switches worked a treat in the second half. Gleebo (Mayo) - Posts: 1803 - 22/11/2020 17:56:48 2313020 Link 0 |

Congrats to all those teams for their contributions. A pity they are not given a better shop window to show what they do. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 979 - 22/11/2020 20:08:39 2313323 Link 0 |
I assume that there's no relegation from the Nicky Rackard this year, but will the Meaghar champions be promoted? Marlon_JD (Tipperary) - Posts: 1774 - 22/11/2020 20:09:12 2313324 Link 1 |
Longford & Monaghan relegated from the Rackard competition.

Seen that what is going on? These games need more promotion the matches are very enjoyable and I think they should be on before the bigger intercounty games when crowds are allowed back. Would be great to have these finals on before the all ireland!

No promotion for Donegal just confirmed, that's a sickner :( preddan (Kildare) - Posts: 497 - 23/11/2020 12:08:48 2313846 Link 1 |
That was supposed to have been the case and was when they were first introduced, then that idea died a death.

I think the benefits of being curtain raisers is totally overblown. The idea that it'd somehow improve the profile of Meath or Carlow or whoever by having a few thousand Tipperary/Galway/Kilkenny fans happen to be in the stadium because they've shown up early for their team's game is ludicrous.

I would disagree, To be involved even as a curtain raiser would be massive, I would take anything that would boost the profile,

Hurling people love hurling and go to matches even if their own county is not involved. I think they should have these games instead of the minors before big games. I know myself and alot of other people will turn up earlier for these games, they are very entertaining and it adds to the atmosphere. I can only be good for hurling in these counties and gives them players a chance to play in front of a nice crowd!
