Crashes all the time and you have to shut it down and and go through the 2 mins of ads every time

If people had to pay a cost for ad free would you pay? Might be an option. would also allow RTE put more money into improving the service as well KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 1636 - 15/11/2020 21:22:26 2309656 Link 0 |
Rte should have enough resources to improve the service if you look at what their top presenters get. I've no issue with the ads it's that it constantly crashes and you have to watch the 2 mins of ads again and particularly during a game its extremely frustrating Compare that to the All4 app which is also free and never crashes. I dont understand how after all these years it's still so poor galwayfball (Galway) - Posts: 1209 - 15/11/2020 23:52:40 2309740 Link 1 |
As I read on Twitter before it would challenge the patience of the most relaxed and content man on the planet wexico15 (Wexford) - Posts: 2602 - 16/11/2020 01:20:50 2309754 Link 0 |

Should they? You cant just say their top presenters get x therefore everything else should be better. Channel 4 has extensive more income and can therefore spend far more on things like its playback player. KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 1636 - 16/11/2020 11:20:27 2309900 Link 0 |
I usually use the mobile app and cast it on to the chromecast and it works well. Quality is good and ads aren't too bad. DL_Man (Donegal) - Posts: 89 - 16/11/2020 11:36:16 2309917 Link 0 |
Is it a lot worse streaming live events than playback for TV shows? Not sure how that works but the streaming has to rely on a good signal from the venue first. Contention must impact it too, if 3 people want to stream a game versus 10,000. Quality of broadband too, does it always work badly, does your neighbour have same problem on the same broadband provider? No-one else on other devices in the house at the same time. Tiktok! The ads are crystal clear, the rest are muck. And also there seems to be a delay of 30 secs on the player with live games as opposed to TV. republicofcloone (Leitrim) - Posts: 120 - 16/11/2020 13:44:25 2310048 Link 0 |
are yous using the app or the website. The app is always the best way to go whether on a pc or a phone or whether you are watching BT SPORT, Sky sports, or whatever. If there is an app available always use that. s goldrick (Cavan) - Posts: 5356 - 19/11/2020 21:04:27 2311554 Link 0 |
It's useless, thought it might be a problem with the broadband here, keeps on stalling, gave up on it, Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 1076 - 19/11/2020 21:50:53 2311568 Link 0 |
