Replying To catch22:  "Think Donegal done a Kerry on it and got ahead of themselves a bit. Cavan and Tipp have shown the rest of the so called lesser counties that you can compete with the big boys if you put the graft in and have the right people in charge.Hard luck on missing out on Mickey he might sort out that defence.
Easier of course to point over there and blame someone else for your shortcomings."
You were doing plenty of pointing laughing and sneering at the Cavan team over on the ulster final thread and now you're using Cavan as an example of how to beat the dubs?

You need to make up your mind of what side of the fence your on.

Replying To CiarraiMick:  "Yes Mayo are the team than can push Dublin to the limit but Tipp will give them a hard game and maybe even win. However Tipp won't be a match for Dubs at all. Cavan won't bother dubs no disrespect to them. Kerry Donegal and Tyrone fell and that's the way it goes. I agree with you Jooxer on Leinster. If Dublin were gone it would nt make the others better but maybe worse. Its up to them to catch up."
"If Dublin were gone it would nt make the others better but maybe worse. " I disagree here. The Dubs dominance in Leinster has a massively deflating effect on the teams around them. It is a little bit harder to get motivated in January/February etc when you know you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of a trophy at any stage. We have seen this in Meath when the Goalie, Paddy O'Rourke came out and said exactly this after he threw in the towel a few years back. Now you might argue he is only one player, but success breeds success and it filters down. Everyone likes to follow a winning team etc, getting regularly hammered in the Leinster championship isn't exactly a great marketing tool to attract young players into the game. This is a problem in weaker counties all over Ireland but it's particularly pronounced and long-lasting in Leinster. At least in the other provinces, even for most 'weaker' counties, a provincial title is somewhat of a possibility. This hope has been extinguished for 10 years now in Leinster. with no end in sight. Something has to change. Dublin will stroll to this year's all ireland title, it is very realistic to see them winning a few more after that, if that happens the calls for change will be hard to ignore. I don't buy the money argument too much. Dublin have just made excellent use of the one thing you can't buy, a much larger playing pool than everyone else. That's the reality.

Don't trust any poster who won't put down their county.

No I wasn't. Tipp did what you'd expect.

Dublin didn't do what an amateur team should do. Why couldn't they have worn replica jerseys too? Why the need to keep the AIG logo?

Don't tell us. We already know the answer.

You can buy as many Leinsters and All Irelands as ye like. You can't buy class.

Thought you'd be hiding at this stage coming up with some more daft ideas about winning something.

Your bitterness and propensity for outrage blind you to fact that that was a dignified meaningful gesture. Jesus, if a Dublin man discovered a vaccine for Covid you'd find something to be indignant about."
Haha brilliant!

As a Dublin man I'm very satisfied with the Dublin panels gesture, it's good that Tipp got to make their own gesture without Dublin doing the same the night before, it was important that Tipp made their own stand out effort.

Dubs had a commerative jersey and the wreath laying was very dignified

As a Dublin man and hailing from a city that was greatly impacted that day

I was more than satisfied with their gesture

Also Dublin have forgone their sponsorship on at least 3 occasions in recent years

All to highlight various charities logos on their jersey during live games broadcast on Television

But sure don't let your ignorance get in the way of a good rant. .

Again I think it was important that Tipp got to mark their own efforts separately

It allowed them to still bring awareness to the occasion the following Day, Dubs had the names of the 14 victims on their jersey and had the opportunity to lay a wreath

The Dubs got to be there on the actual night and make their own contributions which were very dignified

That clown from Meath still banging on about Cluxton or a wreath or something?
Press the eject button! Maybe he'll land in Kerry and will get some support there.

Ah I see. Dublin wore their usual blue jersey, the colour which they wore in 1920. Tipp wore a green and white jersey, the colour of Michael Hogan's club and the same colour they wore in 1920. But let me guess, this was a PR stunt for AIG yes? You have been blinded to the classy act of the laying of the wreath by your anti-Dub bias. Sure a Cavan man should have little interest in Bloody Sunday anyway. Leave it to the counties who played in the game and which lost people and perhaps show some respect for their memory instead of using it as another angle to try to bash a team of amateur sportsmen who've invested more in the game than you ever will.

dublin employ a PR company Cavanman47 so everything you saw Saturday night was carefully choreographed even the laying of the wreath.

The whole commemoration was choreographed. You don't think they dragged Brendan Gleeson out of Gills 15m before he stood on the Hill do you? When you're waiting a century to commemorate something, have the nation watching it on national TV, have the leader and president of the country also laying wreaths, you generally choreograph these things. Any sign of that aul dolphin yet?
