What did Costello say to the linesman to get sent off?

Sometimes I wonder if people on these pages have any love or understanding of GAA at all with some of the rubbish I see spouted jimbo.

There's always something to complain about when it comes to the big bad Dubs.

Imagine, what a disgrace it was in their eyes, to see a Dublin team pay a small bit of respect to the victims of Bloody Sunday, the majority of whom were from Dublin, and in Croke Park that day to see the Dubs play.

If the Meath team were also there on Saturday, the same few lads would be complaining that the Meath team was forced to stay out in the cold after losing a Leinster Final so that the Dubs could make their tribute. You know they would.

Dubs are big but their getting more support by the minute because of your green eyed neighbours. Thought Dubs were very dignified in what they did.

He used bad language

IMO stupid behaviour and if he's not available it's his own fault

No need, v poor showing on his part

Replying To jimbodub:  "It was a ceremony arranged by the GAA to mark bloody Sunday man.. what is wrong with you. .

Dublin played that day in 1920

It was the continuation of the commerative ceremony and Dublin GAA being involved and losing the vast portion of citizens killed that day laid a wreath in memory of those murdered

Cameras were there because of the same reason cameras were there at the opening ceremony

It was one and the same and it was the conclusion of the ceremony

Christ Almighty...!!"
Alan Brogan already laid a wreath in Dublin's colors during the ceremony did he not? Along with Declan Browne from Tipperary.

Trust you to speak the Queens English so well. My phone is from a US company, designed in Israel, made in China - predictive text is in US English.

Think colour is spelt the same in the Royal county, Your Royal correspondent might know better. Royal family has spent more time there than in Tyrone.

Replying To Crinigan:  "Very good post.

If I was in charge, I'd make it that every county competing has roughly same population (this would involve Dublin split in 4 and about three/four amalgamated teams( to be voted on, not forced but I imagine Carlow would go with Laois) with each county getting the same funds each year. GAA to hire CEO for every county to run each counties finances.

Would likes of Carlow amalgamate with Laois? I'd happily go with Louth or Westmeath if necessary to go along with the thing. Amalgamations would only be at senior level, not minor or underage."
Thanks for your reply, - Ciaran Whelan is correct when he say's Leinster football is "Psychologically smashed", Joe Brolly says go back to the knock out system, for years we have been waiting for a type of vaccine to get the weaker counties up and running, instead they gave us the back door that has been rendered useless to them, in my honest opinion , there's no magic wand, no vaccine, it's beyond fixing.

While plan C is being worked out, why not introduce a handicap system, something like in golf over a 3 year time span, handicaps to be calculated on the 3 previous years scores, for and against each county.

The only light at the end of the tunnel for the weak counties in leinster is a provincial title, however Dublin has won 16 of those in the past 20 years including 10 in a row. The light at the end of the tunnel was no more than an unstoppable train full of Dublin supporters celebrating, it's an annual event for them with no sign of abating.

Take care, a chara.

So you think it's OK to abuse a linesman? I wonder does his father think what he said to the linesman was mean spirited!
