Some fantastic players Cavan have so its great to see them reach their potential. Hopefully they can give Dublin a good rattle the next day out. Nothing to lose now.

Bizarre to think we have the same semi final lineup as 100 years ago

Congratulations to Cavan, a football county with a great tradition, it was well deserved. I thought the referee did you no favours, the two black cards were very harsh and a red card should have been given to the Donegal player who elbowed into the face causing injury. It was such a contrast in the manner in which these incidences were handled.

Do you think Meath, Laois Westmeath or Kildare couldn't beat Cavan or Tipperary. It was fantastic to see these underdogs rise to the challenge but don't be so deluded as to think that they'd have a snowballs hope in hell of winning a provincial title if they were against the Dubs"
What I think is sour is having to read on these pages that Gaelic football is dead, that the GAA are letting the game die because they love the Dubs and money and all this nonsense. Usual guff every time Dublin win by a big old margin.

Hands up, I was as confident as most Donegal supporters going into the final today. Cavan were full value for their win despite some very questionable calls against them by the officials.

Well done to the Breffni men on a fully deserved win and all the best against the Dubs.

Been happening since round 1. It has to turn sometime. Unlikely that its against Dublin tho.

Thought Donegal were better equipped to topple Dubs but after today Cavan will leave everything on field against Dubs. Dubs will know they were in a match. Before lockdown Cavan looked primed to go straight back to Div 1 but things went wrong. Massive today. Best team in Ulster.

I am delighted for the people of Tipp and my neighbours Cavan tonight. Both teams won because of their passion to win, their relentless workrate. It was great to watch two energetic young teams going into battle to give it their everything. I hope that they will both get a great boost from it and go into the semis knowing that anything can happen over the 70 minutes. I was one on the many people who didn't believe it was possible that Cavan could put Donegal away today but I am delighted that I was wrong.

Delighted for Cavan (no disrespect to Donegal), it's always great to see an underdog winning. Good luck next week.

That will be music to all Cavan fans tonight.
Fair play to them.

I'll be honest, I'm reluctant to get into it tonight.

But the 50 50 call go to the 'bigger' team more often than not.

Raised my eyebrow, I can tell you.

We'll be 3rd favourites next year before the draw is made.

But tonight did feel very like some of our under 21 wins. The way the game went, the tactics we employed, etc.

Maybe we're here to stay.

From reading your posts in other treads you seem to be a big admirer of the current Dublin setup and there is nothing wrong with that. I would also be a big admirer of it if it was an even playing field. People are eventually getting tired of it and how the Monster of Dublin was created so I cannot see the harm in opinions been voiced and to be honest I think the opinions should be voiced more and more until the gaa says right let's do something! Wouldn't happen in any other sport in the world! Just my opinion the same as you have yours but they are very different!
Donegal were caught on the hop today the same way as kerry were caught vs Cork the game was in Armagh but minds were in croker. These things happen ...

Yes brilliant stuff, compare that to the dross of watching soccer. painful one for us tonight but when you've been following Donegal as long as I have I've seen plenty days like this before but we will rise again, I don't think we'd have caused Dublin much bother if we had played against them like we did today they would have hammered us.
as a sports fan I'm delighted for Cavan and Tipp, great to see new teams winning, only thing as we all know there's a team in Dublin that that will beat all before them, best of luck to Cavan in the semi final, 2020, anything can happen!!
