Nor could he compete with such financial muscle. . .

What he has achieved will unlikely be rivalled in Tyrone and deserves the height of respect, but he is unable to get them above a certain level now, maybe it's time for someone else to have a go? I don't agree it's disrespectful for someone to challenge for the job either when his contract is up. A very Irish attitude. Let there be a process and the decision taken for the best man in 2020/21, not years gone by. Donegal_abroad (Donegal) - Posts: 895 - 13/11/2020 15:46:17 2308387 Link 0 |

Saying its disrespectful in someone challenging for his position is sticking head in the sand. Can he really bring anything fresh to tyrone at this stage. He has been the head coach for 17/18 years but how much further can he bring the side. surely its time for a new voice, new attitude to playing. That's all true, but why are Kilkenny still with Brian Cody? They aren't the team they were, and no longer one of the favourites for Liam Mccarthy. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2216 - 13/11/2020 20:18:56 2308492 Link 1 |
Sticking head in the sand surely, I don't think there is a contradiction in saying Harte is a legend but simultaneously saying it's time to change things up now for them.

And he probably won't as they drive on to $ix, $even and €ight.

Honestly think Tyrone are making a mistake here, enjoy your retirement Mickey harte. Royal.Legend (Meath) - Posts: 461 - 13/11/2020 21:40:23 2308527 Link 3 |

I can't see how. Of course they can go backwards, but they definitely weren't going any further under Harte. They've the players to challenge for the All Ireland. No question. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4135 - 13/11/2020 21:50:26 2308536 Link 0 |
If its true it will be very interesting. Harte owes Tyrone nothing and he could come back again but I do think they need a new voice. They have the talent. What about Peter the Great? CiarraiMick (Dublin) - Posts: 630 - 13/11/2020 21:54:49 2308538 Link 0 |
Thanks Mickey for bringing incredible times to Tyrone. IsMise (Tyrone) - Posts: 106 - 13/11/2020 21:57:22 2308539 Link 0 |
why? He's been there nearly 20 years. Did a lot of great stuff but time/game moves on. KillingFields (Limerick) - Posts: 1636 - 13/11/2020 21:58:32 2308540 Link 0 |

Whoah Micky gone. Huge news. Moving and shaking in Tyrone by the looks of it, hope it doesn't leave a lingering enmity. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 3671 - 13/11/2020 22:11:27 2308547 Link 1 |
