The workrate was very impressive, haven't seen it like that in years. Delighted for players like J. Mccarthy who really stood up after never really been given a chance and POC who had a great game after being dropped. Getting this far with half our team missing is a great feeling.

Just done enough. For large periods of the game Cork worked harder than I have seen in years but when the game was there to be won at the end it was Tipp who dug it out and Cork lost their way a bit. Was a mistake to being Lehane on. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 2911 - 14/11/2020 17:53:22 2308797 Link 0 |
One out of three surely?

For the draw on Monday,is it complete open draw or provincial losers v a qualifier winner?after today limerick must be very careful now tomorrow.. CTGAA10 (Limerick) - Posts: 1045 - 14/11/2020 20:24:27 2308887 Link 0 |
Difficult to blame any player but lets be honest about it that goal keeper was lucky not to concede two more goals. He was at sea. If you launch yourself out like that hopefully you get the man and ball but you better one of the two.

A very disappointing day and there is nothing positive to take from the day. It is very much back to the drawing board. StoreysTash (Wexford) - Posts: 864 - 14/11/2020 20:32:50 2308892 Link 0 |
Hogan was super tonight, his touch sublime but really Galway lost this, they had KK on the floor and yet lost it. arock (Dublin) - Posts: 4434 - 14/11/2020 20:34:37 2308894 Link 1 |
I would think its provincial loser vs a qualifier winner with no repeat pairings. If Limerick win tomorrow I dont think there is any possibility of a repeat pairing.

Clare or Tipp will play Galway or the loser of tomorrow's game (Limerick v Waterford).

Galway v Tipp would be some cracker.

According to the match report it's an open draw. I always thought provincial runners up were kept apart..

However the HoganStand fixtures suggest provincial runners up are kept apart which is the way it probably is and should be tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 2911 - 14/11/2020 21:38:50 2308949 Link 0 |
The reason I asked was the last 2 draws were complete open draw...I was expecting provincial losers to meet a qualifier..as with all GAA matters ,it seems very clear!!! CTGAA10 (Limerick) - Posts: 1045 - 14/11/2020 22:23:53 2308963 Link 0 |
Ya I agree. I know it was a good goal he is amazing , but it was a mistake by golie and full back but still well taken he is a wizzard. I suppose I am annoyed that the ref did not let the play go on when Burk had his hurl held which he should have done . And then go back and book the defender.

Cork have now equalled our record of longest time between All Irelands. We will break that record next year and there is no end in sight to ending it. A huge cultural change is required. If you don't get a Cork Jersey in an under 14 development squad, you might as well rule yourself out of ever getting one. Form is an irrelevance down here. When we were staring victory in the face, when Tipperary appeared to be rattled after all their wides, when we had the momentum, we still could not eek out a result. The worst team in the Munster championship by a distance. bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3772 - 14/11/2020 23:55:08 2308981 Link 1 |
Please don't forget the great games going on in the McDonagh and Ring competitions. They are playing in empty stadiums also and no excuse for not getting t.v. coverage. The GAA should have insisted on it when doing t.v. contracts. The lip service to these teams enrages me. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 979 - 15/11/2020 14:55:40 2309180 Link 0 |
Dalton going off was a big factor, and allowed Ronan Maher to dominate. Fitzgibbon looked fit, and should have been introduced way earlier. Pointless introducing subs at 70 minutes. New players need to be blooded, like Tadhg Deasy or Alan Connolly of Blackrock. Then again Tadhg was used as an impact sub by Blackrock, despite being their most effective forward!
