Replying To Canuck:  "Mick that has been waved this year. Kerry would go straight into Leinster for 2021. Bizarre to say the least ,not into their own province. Anyways here's to enjoying this weekend games."
Strange that a "Kerryman" wasn't aware of the change this year.

Replying To gatha:  "Hard to know how good are Cork. Dublin were good for 15 mins. against Kilkenny when the game was just about over we thought. Kilkenny took their foot off the pedal and are were not good enough to turn it back on. Tipp aren't as bad as they looked against Limerick. Tipp do lack a bit of pace in the defense which could be a problem if Cork get going like they did last week. I don't see Tipp letting that happen. Clare's injuries will catch up to them against Wexford. They are not deep enough to loose the caliber of players they have lost and not have it affect them. Galway have more talent then Kilkenny but they often did in the past and failed to win. If Galway show up I can't see Kilkenny winning but, if they slip a bit Kilkenny will do the same thing they did to Limerick last year. Waterford are much improved under Cahill. I think in another year he will have them completely straightened out. Still some selfishness to some of their play. I think Limerick learned their lesson last year that you don't take any team for granted and should win comfortably."
If Kilkenny sent out Tullaroan or Clara to represent them they would still be competitive. That is the nature of the beast. I agree with you that some of our guys can be a bit selfish. One in particular taking hail mary shots with players in a better position. I understand that when nothing else is on. Cahill will fix that I would say.

Replying To Canuck:  "Do you think we should bother turning up ? After all it is a foregone conclusion. Just joking everyone just expressing an opinion."
I reckon but for Connor Gleson being off and Steven Bennett and Jamie Barron having to go off in 17 ye would have easily beaten Galway. After all ye had already taken out both Cork and Kilkenny,. I for one would never underestimate ye and if LK do not win I would love to see ye do it.

Can't see us beating wexford this wknd. Yes we've players missing but I just dont think we're playing well enough. I don't think Wexford will play as bad as they did v Galway again not with Davey in charge. Sadly I think the Wexford match will be a comfortable win. Still though as a Clareman if you'd told me at the start of the year we'd still be in the Championship by Nov I'd have taken it ;-)

Tipp/Cork match I fancy Tipp. I just think they're a better team in every way. Cork will be up for it but I think Tipp will keep Cork at arms length and see it out.

As a side note I think the script is already written, Tipp v KK in the QF. KK win. But I can't see past a lim/gal final at this stage .

Replying To Canuck:  "The only beef I have with Kerry was when we wanted to play our games in Nowlan Park they voted against us when they had no skin in the game."
Fair enough comment. Kerry Co board got that one wrong Canuck. Funny enough sometimes it's your own that do the damage. I remember the famous Tony Keady affair(may the Lord have mercy on him). Everyone blamed Tipperary for him being reported playing in USA but when the vote came to suspend him Tipp voted to let him play but it was the Connaught counties that voted against him and he got suspended for a year.

Wexford v Clare. Battle of the former colleagues, Clare to win.
Tipperary v Cork. Tipperary might have too much for Cork. Should be a good match.

Its piss or get of the pot weekend, us hurlers on the ditch wont have an impact on any match outcome this weekend. This beautiful game hurling where if you hurl better then your opponent you should win. The only certainty this weekend is wexford as this Clare team dont look good. The rest of us counties are in for a battle. While no one is really fancying Waterford be aware of the smiling crocodile.

I partially disagree with you in that if Wexford play as bad as they did v Galway then Clare will win. But I expect to see a different Wexford team from that day. Waterford still have a load of talented hurlers. You never know.

With the weather forecast for today, it could be a real slog all the teams; the form book goes out the window.

Wexford are stronger on paper but if it comes down to pure determination and hunger Clare have a good chance cos I expect they will run through walls not to lose this game to a Davy Fitz led team today

Well I got this completely wrong, Clare played with the wind but more importantly they played with thunder inside of them. The will to win so a deserved victory. It has me worried as to just how good Galway actually are. A nervous few hours and all will be reviled. Well played Tony Kelly and his Clare teammates

Absolutely didn't expect that. Always when we dont expect it. Tony Kelly, what a man today .Wexford still affected by last year I'd say.

Replying To katser:  "Mmmmmm two very exciting games this weekend and rather difficult to predict a winner!!
Clare v Wexford..... Duggan, Conlon, Podge are huge loss for Clare but they still put up big scores in their two games, can't figure out Wexford they have nice stick hurlers but something doesn't seem right in their camp. The difference between the teams is Tony Kelly and I don't think Wexford have a player like him in that form, Kelly is as good as 3 lads and is capable of winning a game on his own!
Cork v Tipperary.......Tipp big names P.Maher, B.Maher,S.Callanan, McGrath's don't seem to be motoring at all, the Cork fowards are playing well and putting up big scores.
Quiet simply put....Clare and Cork to win!"
Now where are all the lads who went for Wexford?
T.Kelly 1-15 what a player and what a difference!! Hon the Banner!!!!
