The Late Adrian Cahill Offaly And Paul Carey Limerick

(Oldest Posts First)

just think its propper to mention the two lads on National forum as well as our own county forum. I remember Carey, like Ciaran and his brother Pa, teak tough but fair, a decent free taker too as far as I can remember. Adrian Cahill, a member of the great Offaly minors of late 1980's, a bad leg break interupted, what I honestly think would have been a a wonderful career with Offaly (he already had won a NHL medal with them) ...his loss to Offaly is as great as Brian Whelehans contribution to Offaly hurling, anyone who seen him hurl would have no doubt about that.

Condolences to both families, Patrickswell and Birr GAA and indeed Limeirick and Offaly GAA, we lost 2 good men. RIP

Well said. Sad to see two young men die so tragically. Condolences to both families, to their clubs and counties and to all their friends. RIP

Condolences to both the Cahill and Carey families. In the mid oughties as a mature student in UCC , I met and had a few chats with Paul. I think he was doing a Post Grad course at the time.
He was a lovely intelligent witty going man. May his gentle soul rest in peace and may his family be consoled at this very sad time.
