Well Done Cork!

Replying To Tir Conaill Abu:  "Well done to Cork. Hung in there and got their rewards. Can't understand Kerry playing defensively with the attacking talent they have. Clifford showed tonight that he's a good footballer, just a good footballer mind you and not yet the great footballer that some make him out to be.
Interesting to hear comments from some Kerry supporters on another platform saying that it's Dublins All Ireland now. Kingdom arrogance at its best. Well done again Cork but be wary of Tipp. Should be a good Munster Final."
I said it too.

Replying To GeniusGerry:  "Unbelievable finish. Well done to cork. While it was a bad game generally speaking I think this is a great advert for knockout football, the excitement at the end was thrilling.

Some of the Kerry players will not like watching that game back, a total misfire on every level, Cork wanted it more too. Much work to do for Kerry but today belongs to Cork. This is quite a young Cork team, could we be seeing a change of order in Munster?

Best of luck to Cork and Tipperary in the final."
Very good post; fair play GeniusGerry

Congratulations to Cork, you have to admire that fight, determination and commitment, had a total faith in their game plan and seem a really together bunch. Well deserved victory.

Commiserations to Kerry, some souls searching over the short winter you'd think.

On a lighter note a Kerry pal txt me after the Mayo game:

"Mayo won't beat Kerry this year"

Just replied:

"You got that one spot on".

100% Gerry, we were told by certain posters from dublin that munster was a dead duck even though we told people that Cork were div 3 but will be a div 1 team by next summer, people said we were being cute Kerry hoor butbut their you go we know our football.

Dublin have the 6 now and I mean no disrespect to the remaining teams but that's it.

There was a topic here posted about being excited or not bothered about the return of intercounty gaa and ill admit I wasn't too particularly excited about it this year because obviously not being able to witness thr games in person is a big kick in the teeth..watching the cork waterford hurling game kind of confirmed as much to me last week with the no real championship feel at all...but however the game against Dublin yesterday where it was knock out really made me vested again into the season and was delighted with the win

Which brings me to today...my blood pressure was sky high through out the whole game and Mark keanes goal reverted me into some kind of headless chicken jumping about the living room in celebration....what a win today..unbelievable to knock them out first day out..so proud of the lads although ofcourse the game wasn't the highest quality I don't care..onwards and upwards in 2020

Well done Cork. Kerry with puke football. Would have been hammered if they didn't have Spillane and Clifford.

To be honest Kboy I gave Cork no chance at all today. I completely underestimated them, as did most people.

I'm not overly bothered about who wins it from here. It's great that we have football to watch given all that is going on.

Good Grief! Well done Cork amazing result, amazing finish. I say Kerry must be floored emotionally what a brain sapping defeat. Mind you the way they where playing was really inviting trouble. But anyway well done Cork.

I'm calling it now. Meath will beat Dublin in Leinster. And will lose either semi or final , Mayo to win it out.

6 in a row.I'd say 10 in a row might be closer to the mark.

In fairness, Donegal were always going to be the main threat to Dublin this year. Their exit from the championship would affect the odds more than what happened today.

Maybe people might realise now that Munster us not a one horse race. Cork are Moor champ and u20 champs and Kerry very lucky to beat them last year.No yerra yerra. Maybe it is a one horse race for Cork lol.

Those fecking RTE pundits........O'Rourke "Mayo are way behind Dublin and Kerry".....and talking about a Dublin Kerry final.
Kevin McStay after Clifford kicked a good point "we've seen thousands of pounts on here over the years and I think that is the best of them".
Well done Mayo and Cork!!

Thought Clifford was overconfident today. Should have taken a point when he went for goal. Also should have taken a mark a bit later. To cap it off he missed two tap over frees.
