Is it MAYO'S year? Hopefully Galway can do the same as Cork and pull of a shock next weekend. heartbroken (Galway) - Posts: 356 - 08/11/2020 18:28:56 2306205 Link 1 |
Absolutely brilliant result for the Rebels..... Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 3309 - 08/11/2020 18:29:09 2306206 Link 0 |
This will open up the championship to no end. What a horrific game; but Cork kept going amidst clear fatigue; Kerry will be sick. Cruel game. Good old fashioned Cork, never ever write them off! Young_gael (Meath) - Posts: 391 - 08/11/2020 18:30:57 2306212 Link 3 |
I'm thinking here... biggest upset of the last 10 years? Morty (Westmeath) - Posts: 171 - 08/11/2020 18:33:44 2306215 Link 5 |
I said Cork could win it and I was mocked, Cork are like mushrooms they can pop up over night where are those fellas now? KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 11732 - 08/11/2020 18:38:29 2306220 Link 3 |

The biggest championship shock in years or was it in hindsight? Cork has got themselves together the last year or two and have significant underage success the last couple of years. Yes Kerry have great potential and almost caught Dublin last year; but apart from a small number have little seasoned campaigners in the senior inter county game which will obviously come with time. sam1884 (UK) - Posts: 707 - 08/11/2020 18:39:01 2306222 Link 1 |
Great, great result... We are miles better than the 4-20 to 3-09 v Roscommon. We are miles better than the 2015 Munster Final (when James Donoghue scored 0-12). We are miles better than the qualifier hammering against Kildare in Thurles. We are not a Division 3 side. The last few years (upto 2019) have been very very tough. Ultra bleak. Tonight is brilliant though. We badly needed that!!! bennybunny (Cork) - Posts: 3772 - 08/11/2020 18:41:00 2306226 Link 2 |
Kerry tactics were all wrong, they played the game that Cork wanted, pat spillain got his puke football. Clifford was not at his best dispite his wonder point. Maybe the weight of Captain was two much for a young lad. heartbroken (Galway) - Posts: 356 - 08/11/2020 18:41:08 2306227 Link 0 |
Congrats to Cork from a very disappointed Kerryman. We knew Cork were coming but was hoping it was nt today. CiarraiMick (Dublin) - Posts: 630 - 08/11/2020 18:41:14 2306228 Link 1 |
What a finish! I was really looking forward to a Kerry Dublin showdown this year but that was something else! Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1073 - 08/11/2020 18:44:16 2306232 Link 1 |

Absolutely well done cork. Unbelievable. Not the last top team to be beat this year hopefully. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 17035 - 08/11/2020 18:45:26 2306236 Link 1 |
Unbelievable finish. Well done to cork. While it was a bad game generally speaking I think this is a great advert for knockout football, the excitement at the end was thrilling. GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1957 - 08/11/2020 18:46:52 2306242 Link 4 |
Well done to Cork. Hung in there and got their rewards. Can't understand Kerry playing defensively with the attacking talent they have. Clifford showed tonight that he's a good footballer, just a good footballer mind you and not yet the great footballer that some make him out to be. Very sporting Kingdomboy. Is it Dublin's title now? Great win by Cork. Kerry disappointing, never put Cork away.
