Best wishes and prayers to Graham Geraghty and his family. A magnificent Gaelic footballer, on the field of play he was Gaelic football's Paul Gascoigne a maverick talent.

Was terrible to see this come up on my news feed today. Delighted the news seems a bit better today. He was the type of player that made matches great to go and see. Legend of a player, get well soon.

Just a quick update. According to Meath chronicle graham underwent his operation today and it went very well.
Thoughts with Amanda and his children who must be going through hell. As was said earlier puts things into perspective.

Sounds like the operation went well . That's something positive anyway. Not sure exactly what the problem was but I would hope for him and his family he can overcome it and wish him all the best.

My warmest wishes to Graham and his family. A Giant of a person, even if he had never played football.

i remember being at the infamous league match meath v dublin 2008 in parnell park when 5 players were sent off 3 dubs and 2 meath and someone threw a cup of tea aimed at ciaran whelan as he walked off after sending off, graham was a sub being a veteran by this time he was introduced not long after and took up a full forward position in front of the dubs fans end, plenty of nice songs and jeering when he came in, graham turned around and blew them a kiss, the place erupted in a cheer, all tensions disipatted after that!

Wishing all the best to Graham. Hope everything is okay and he makes a full recovery. One of the most talented footballers of last 40 years. Along with Mick Lyons the most loved footballer in Meath. A GAA great.

I was at that match and was having banter with a friend of mine from Kells the next day on the phone. The first thing he said to me was "a waste of good tae". Get well soon Graham.
