Thought it what a title for the top article in the naín forum! Fair play, we need a bit of cheering up. I have a ghrá for Cavan but the head says Monaghan. Hopefully Cavan get a jolt from the Roscommon game and make it interesting.

It'll be a cagey el clasico. Mc Manus to get a few critical scores and see Monaghan through but only just.

It'll be tight but Monaghan will pull away late on. Mc manus still playing well the winner will be looking at an Ulster final appearance. Cavan seem to have regressed those two defeats again Donegal and Tyrone last year have really shook them..

Monaghan should be backing themselves to win by 10+ points against this Cavan team

Local rivalry so it could be a tight one but I'll go for Monaghan by a few points

You can never predict a local derby game, Cavan will be well up for this, form book would say Monaghan though by a few points.

Taught Cavan were very poor against a weakened Roscommon side at the weekend but Monaghan had an even worse result drawing against a brutal Meath team. Think Monaghan have more improvement in them but on the form of last weekend it could go anyway.

Cavan blew monaghan away last year with the game being over as a contest by half time. Huge challenge for an aging monaghan side with just one forward and him near enough retirement. Cavan hot favourites for this one. Hopefully we can make it competitive this year for them. It was their easiest championship match last year.

You're harsh on Meath. I would not label them Brutal.

The margins for them were very fine. The were far from whipping boys just slightly off the pace for division 1.

They lost badly in the their first two games but after that they were only a few points off and got the draw v Monaghan.

Rossies know better than most than Division 1 is tough.

The most interesting thing to happen in Kildare GAA in the last 10 years was a Cavan hurler.
Now that's boring!

Sure I know. Wild swings of opinion are to be expected in the run up to this one. I'm sure its the same across the shuck lad.
Call it a coping mechanism
