Not sure what the plan is lad. Maybe McEniff has a few hotelier friends that are helping out!

It'll have to be a drive through :-)

That's rough all right, our lads had to drive to monaghan last Friday a fair old jaunt as well but at least they had a lot of motorway, still it would be boring on your own.

It's ok for every hotel in Tralee to open because.....stand back...here comes the Donegal Senior Football Team! Lol

Why couldn't it be played at 7pm underlights! That would be a lovely Football match to sit down and watch on the TV for a Saturday evening in Lockdown.

I would say one hotel would do in fairness..

The Donegal Senior Football Team...an "essential service " there fore Hotels will welcome them! Best of Luck to both Kerry and Donegal...it has the makings of a very entertaining game, pitty it wasn't Live on the TV at 7pm Saturday. katser (Galway) - Posts: 1058 - 21/10/2020 18:35:51 2300050 Link 0 |
Don't have a conniption. The McEniffs are well known hoteliers and GAA people. I wasn't suggesting the hotels in Tralee all open their doors for business just because our lads are in town. Merely that a favour may be called upon. A port in a storm so to speak. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 7075 - 21/10/2020 20:03:15 2300073 Link 0 |
It does indeed

Seems to have a weird issue with a team travelling the length of Ireland and needing a room for the night ...

Maybe he expects them to sleep in their cars.

Weather conditions not too good for the weekend, plenty of wind and rain. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 11732 - 21/10/2020 22:10:11 2300095 Link 0 |
It's not Cavan heading down there!

It's ok the ambulance drivers, front line workers, HSE staff ect ect who actually are "essential services" who the "hotels" are made available for can stay in their cars because Donegal don't like getting up early in the morning to drive 5 hours to play a football match... ah bliss

Not right that it is only on Eir Sport. This is the game that will see Kerry crowned League Champions if they win. . .given the exceptions made to ensure this goes ahead, and that we're told it's to give people something to entertain them when they are stuck in their houses, surely it could have been made free-to-air with Eir compensated accordingly. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4135 - 22/10/2020 08:12:33 2300130 Link 7 |
jesus, who p***ed in your cornflakes!? even with frontline workers being given accommodation, hotels were down at 15% capacity in April and May. It's a nothing argument that you're trying to push here cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4135 - 22/10/2020 10:11:35 2300147 Link 5 |
Spoken like a true Galwayman, a well connected county with plenty links to all the necessary spots :-) 5 hour drive haha, from Ballybofey maybe! JoeSoap (Donegal) - Posts: 1125 - 22/10/2020 11:22:07 2300166 Link 1 |
Its probably not a full strength team Donegal will send down anyway and most likely are going to lose, would the team not think of the expenses Accommodation will cost the poor Donegal County Board in these Financially difficult times! Nothing wrong with getting up early in the morning, have a big fry and enjoy the lovely sinerary as they drive to Kerry... katser (Galway) - Posts: 1058 - 22/10/2020 11:38:18 2300172 Link 1 |
We don't need to travel 5 hours to enjoy lovely scenery.
