Live Streaming Of Matches

The quality of live streaming in Leitrim is superb. The production is excellent with very good photos, top class commentary, and match analysis and rounded off with top drawer interviews with managers etc. A big compliment to all involved.

What is the experience in other counties?

It is one of the few upsides to the pandemic that club football can be promoted far and wide.

Donegal GAA website had streaming of all senior and intermediate championship games over the weekend. It was €3 per match. There were some teething problems with bandwidth which was understandably frustrating, particularly in the Gaoth Dobhair MacCumhaills match which was a very tight game.

Hopefully they'll have addressed these issues for the semi finals this weekend.

I'm wondering are there streaming options to watch intermediate or junior games around the country? Kildare have been streaming senior games only and being from an intermediate club, that's on no use to me or my family. My dad's a publican with, for the first time in his life, the time on his hands to watch some club championship football and is sick to his core that there's nothing for him.

Limerick senior hurling has been as good as you could expect and worth the €8 given the circumstances

Is there not club members who could do it?
My home club has a member who streams nearly all games the club plays.

Yep, it's a good shout and unfortunately my clubs PRO hasn't done it yet but hopefully that might happen going forward, I'm seeing it more and more this weekend to be fair!
Comparatively a phone in a hand is not near the quality of a professional streaming service but you'll take what you get!

We've a club member who video streams all games. Same with a few of our neighbouring clubs
None done on a phone
It doesnt have to be PRO doing it!

I can only speak for my own club but we have been streaming our games on the clubs Facebook page and in turn streaming those games in the club house aswell (for the lucky few who can get a table in there) we are a junior A dual club and came into a bit of difficulty in our last hurling game against one of the big city senior clubs (ill let you speculate as to which club it is) as they would not allow us to stream the game on Facebook...a junior clubs first team against that clubs third or fourth team and yet they refused to allow us to stream the game..it takes a bit of community effort to do it but all these games are capable of being streamed whether a junior c club or senior club..just hope that the 2 clubs can come together and do it rather than one big club refusing to allow a smaller club watch their first team

yes very good streaming service here in Cavan for the senior, intermediate and junior championships. They should continue this going forward regardless of spectator restrictions.

Galway has been streaming intermediate games in both football and hurling since the quarter-final stages. I've only watched a few senior games so far and the quality has been very good.

I agree that it should be continued regardless. Bit of revenue, and very appreciated by club exiles, whether moved to a city or abroad. Tyrone showing the lot, hurling and football, all levels: https://tyronegaa.ie/tyronegaatv/

Streaming has to stay regardless if this virus goes away within the next year. Its the same with every county, supporters who can't attend matches or living overseas that wants to watch matches and this service would be there for them.

For people living abroad or other parts of the country these are tremendous services, I spent a year in Vancouver and would have really appreciated the streams.

Will hopefully spend a year or two travelling/living abroad once Covid-19 leaves us alone, I hope this continues.

Are we going to have live streaming of all the League\Championship matches since we can't get into the grounds? If it can be done at club level, it should be able to be done at county level.
