Darragh Moloney is an absolutely fantastic commentator - should have been left in the commentary box and not moved to the studio. Most of the commentators are brilliant, it's the co-commentators who tend to be a real mixed bag. cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 4135 - 28/08/2020 09:49:35 2289455 Link 6 |

There's a number of fantastic commentators across the platforms, channels, languages. Some local radio commentators are a testament to the game. Charlie Collins, and the late great Séamus Mac Géidigh of RnaG the pick of the bunch from this direction. SurelyToGod (Donegal) - Posts: 195 - 28/08/2020 10:32:32 2289460 Link 1 |

I like Dave MacIntyre on sky sports, however Mike Finnerty on Sky is a different story he is too much into his cliches, on RTE I like Darragh Maloney, I like Marty Morrissey only in hurling, not a fan when it's football DuhallowRed (Cork) - Posts: 140 - 28/08/2020 11:08:32 2289469 Link 1 |
Darragh Maloney is good Mayonman (Galway) - Posts: 1292 - 28/08/2020 11:50:23 2289479 Link 3 |
Daragh Moloney is excellent, however in the crazy Politically World that we now live in, it won't be long before we have women commentating on our games, and the studio is 50/50 men/women. Sorry but the Sunday Game for both the live show and the highlights program on a Sunday night are just not the same since they introduced women onto them. gilly1910 (Galway) - Posts: 102 - 28/08/2020 12:10:10 2289487 Link 8 |
Daragh Maloney is excellent, I also like Kevin McStay as co-commentator. jacktheDub (Dublin) - Posts: 910 - 28/08/2020 14:35:42 2289507 Link 1 |

Morrissey is the worst - his cheeky-culchie stuff tops it off Eddie the Exile (Monaghan) - Posts: 719 - 28/08/2020 16:08:45 2289518 Link 0 |
Am I the only one doesn't really pay attention to how good or bad the TV commentators are as long as they get the names right. Breezy (Limerick) - Posts: 1106 - 28/08/2020 16:37:55 2289526 Link 0 |
Brian Carty is the worst hands down. Galway4ever (Galway) - Posts: 134 - 28/08/2020 16:42:09 2289529 Link 1 |

Dessie Dolan and Martin Carney have to be the worst in football. catch22 (USA) - Posts: 1647 - 31/08/2020 10:28:10 2289898 Link 0 |
Agree, Carney is particularly annoying- even when he's saying something positive sounds negative Galway4ever (Galway) - Posts: 134 - 31/08/2020 17:30:48 2289977 Link 1 |
Agree with everything you say MOM was the greatest ever. I think Darragh moloney is great too. Ollie turner is either making players out to be the second coming of christ or hes running them down theres no inbetween. His dramatics are ridiculous galwayfball (Galway) - Posts: 1209 - 31/08/2020 18:08:14 2289986 Link 0 |
I agree with all that. Duignan is great! He really knows his stuff and is very insightful. When he speaks, he usually has something worthwhile to say, and he does not blather on just for the sake of saying something.
