Apparently all gaelic football and hurling games through the All Ireland series are going to be televised live, sky will have their quota and our friend RTE will have theirs, along with that some will be streamed, I can't keep up with all of this technology.

Lads are RTE for real getting Jedward all of people to lecture the population on covid-19 and wearing masks on the late late show last night. I'm all for protecting the vulnerable and beating the virus but those boys sounded like right clowns last night, I might add they themselves turned up to mass protest a few months ago and were pictured with their masks wrapped around their necks instead of covering their faces.

I didn't see it as I watch very little on RTÉ Dualsport but RTÉ have a habit of regurgitating the same old "stars" and I use that word losely, I saw an add lately where they were sending Irish "stars" on holidays and I saw twink, my god the woman must be hitting 90 odd by now and I hadn't seen her since play the game was on the air and she was pension age back then. Jay's that lyrics board was fair bad as well.

Ya but you'll probably have a few less school kids moaning about restrictions if Jedward tell to do it. Probably the wrong show though I mean they are aimed at kids so who are they on a late late show ?

John and Edward Grimes (born 16 October 1991), collectively known as Jedward,

John and Edward Grimes stars of, and based on the film, The Grim{mes) Brothers.

When they appeared on stage first they were primed and fully charged, they were short circuited one night on stage and the full 380 volts from their equipment went through their system and a couple of things happened to them, like, verbally they would appear to be out of sync, as well as that the voltage leak fixed their hair in a vertical position, their new hair style and their wobbling verbal's was a big hit with the Young Guns.

As they grew older, the voltage dropped because of an outage, their hair straightened and they sort of normalized again, I didn't see the Late Late show but I would assume because they are now 30 they were probably trying to get the mask message across to that age group (ish) as they are live wires too. (shock and awe)

Sadly all the leading roles for RTE The Movie are promised, however there may be a supporting roll or an extra coming up, no guarantees though.

Ah, that's good sure we all need a good laugh, especially now with the Virus thing going around, I had a good laugh recently when I had a problem with the lap top, I brought it in and I was told the problem was virus related, ah, jays I said is there nothing this virus doesn't contaminate, don't worry about he said if you leave it here for a couple of days to self-isolate, a world acclaimed anti-virus scientific expert called McAfee will have it sorted. - Hope all is good with you.

Some of that would be illegal. You cant stop anyone from retiring/accepting redundancy and then returning to work.
Why should all internal applicants be guaranteed an interview? What jobs ensure that happens?
What exactly do you mean a minister taking a deeper interest in RTE? What do you want ministers to do?

Your number 5 especially as too many politicians are on the take with vested interests. I would propose a recall system where politicians answer to electorate. This through a review independent panel that looks at the platform politicians went on and were elected. If their conduct is unethical or totally in deference to what they stood on. Recall should not be done nilly willy but based on continuous flaunting the guide lines set out for behaviour. Like the rules the constitution guide us.The panel itself should be rotated so it does not become too powerful. Democracy is being hi-jacked and cleverly manipulated by a few for the benefit of a few and we are allowing it.
Length of holding seats should be limited and pension only paid if completed. We consistently hear no one would want these jobs because of the abuse and hours put in. Bull, cry me a river for these people. They are well paid and want these jobs. There are plenty of minimum wage earners working all kinds of hours to put bread on the table. There are plenty of small business owners working 18 hours a day to stay a float.
What has this got to do with rte ? They are just a symptom of a much bigger abuse.
