Dubs Back In Parnell Park?

(Oldest Posts First) - Go To The Latest Post

Will the Dub footballers be back in Parnell Park if the Coronavirus restrictions are still in place come October? Could be the first time some of the footballers played there!

Jays above , nothing like a bank holiday weekend for a bit of fishing. I hope you hook a big one.

Its a really good idea, lets hope so, its was a right bear pit when the hurlers played there last year, savage atmosphere, something the footballers should look at, but would mean restricting the crowds at football games.

But yeah, during Covid it would be cool.

I had to check the date and make sure it wasn't the first of April :-)

The dubs senior footballers will never play in parnell Park again unless it's some charity thing.

Let's hope so. It would be nice to have some home games for a change instead of being forced to play at neutral Croke Park. Sure Cillian O'Connor and Anto Maher have played more games at Croke Park than some of our star players like Con, Howard and Murch. Would be great to be back at the Neller.

Might be a good plan for other counties too to play games at smaller capacity grounds than their county grounds. If COVID restrictions were well observed and facilities good it'd mean a better atmosphere than a bigger emptier stadium, possibly improve the home advantage too.

With covid restrictions is there any point in even having the final in Croke Park this year. Theoretically couldnt this game be played in almost any county ground. Give Kerry a neutral venue final in Tralee??

Heard that. Wasn't at the game . Fair play to them. That's a big scalp to take

Absolutely sure with covid crowd restrictions there is no reason to be playing the final in croke park at Croke Park at all this year. Perhaps if Galway reach the final then the game can be played at a neutral venue for both teams, like Tuam for example in a similar fashion that Dublin have had all the times they reached the final

No, have the final in Castlebar so Sam can be lifted in the 21st Century in Mayo (just not by a Mayo man!)

Bearing in mind Dublin traffic it would take you less time to drive from Doolin in Clare to Pearse Park than to drive from Clondalkin in west Dublin to Croke Park. But sure the Jacks will travel anywhere for a game.

Be like a year we would win it...nobody allowed at the game and pubs closed with muted celebrations
