Sure Ormond. These random people just haooend to join and support you. One poster went into remarkable detail putting forward his suggestions. Amazing since he is a new poster. Some would say unbelievable.

Also when I use the same words or phrases that annoy you a smart man might wonder why I keep repeating them?

Lastly the last time you tried to give a lesson on grammar here it went spectacularly wrong for you. Here you are suggesting I expand my vocabulary. I would suggest you read the first 2 lines of your post and perhaps rewrite them in English. Thanks."

Which poster are you claiming is mine?
You are seriously obsessed with me Its rather strange how much you are obsessed with me.
I will again suggest you expand your vocab as you use the same words over and over again. Why cant you say something else? Are you capable of doing it?
I have made mistakes and admitted to making them. Something you have never once done on this site so get off the high horse you love sitting on"]It may have slipped your attention that other posters highlighted it first. As if I am some lone ranger pointing out the obvious. Wrong plenty of times myself. Repeating myself to you........again.

Hopefully that mysterious new poster who made loads of random suggestions will reveal himself. I am expecting that to happen now it has been highlighted.

Clifford's red card. David Clifford's red card prompts Kieran Donaghy to suggest the young Kerry star needs to learn to deal with provocation without reacting. The video available suggests very little provocation, though in fairness to Clifford it is not very clear how forceful his own transgression was. No doubt and we have all seen it, Clifford gets lots of attention from opponents, much of it outside the rules, however there have also been incidents where he himself has been the instigator, as has Donaghy in his day, live by the sword, die by the sword

Im neither the flaker or killing fields. I just seen a reference to a guy with mental health issues being picked at a bit too much and thought that was wrong.
After reading the rest of this thread I have come to the conclusion that the two of them are a couple of doses.

So, you created your HS username, and your first post on the site was to defend another poster from criticism, based on his mental issues (did that poster mention his mental issues on this thread?). Then in your second post on this site, you call the same poster, who you said it was wrong to pick on due to his mental issues, 'a dose'?

Seems odd

Think you need to call out this new poster on the hypocrisy of his posts. Seeing as you despise hypocrisy.

I hope thats not the case. If KillingFields says it's not him, then fair enough, it's possible that someone else is using multiple accounts also. I don't want to be part of any pile on. It's just that when someone is caught doing it once, you always assume the worst.
But it's a GAA forum, maybe its best to ultimately take comments as they are, or ignore them. That said, if I'm constantly second guessing who's a genuine poster, and who's just an alternate alias of another poster, it kinda sucks the fun out of it.

It's probably best to assume good intent when possible (easier said than done), or online forums become hard to use. Online communication is difficult, posts don't have the context that things like tone of voice, facial expressions, hand movements etc give. Honestly, every other media/medium is so packed with conflict and toxicity, HS is one of the last forums I can use without getting depressed or super angry. Which is why I don't really want it to change too much.
But if people want to improve the site, it's best to look at their own behavior first, and see if there's something they can improve in their own communication style. For me, my posts tend to be overlong and a bit preachy (see, I've done it again). For my part, I'll try and work on that.

Yep for me the faster posting would be an improvement. Otherwise it's grand. I have seen boards and other forums but don't use them. Checking here a few times a day is enough for me.

Faster posting is only part of the issue. If you have better features you can search for topics easier and it stops replication of posts for example.
if you have private messaging and report system you can have card system for breaching forum regulations

Actually yes, that is what I did to be honest with you. Yes the guy referenced mental health issues and I took that at face value, then the other lad was kind of at him over and over for no real reason. It seemed a bit much and nobody seemed too bothered so I just said to cop on a bit.
I read what followed and felt that there was a pair of them in it, so I clarified that.

There seems to be a lot of 'playing the man' going on here. That generally kills debate on these things I find. The first port of call to improve a board would be to get rid of that kind of stuff Id have thought. Maybe this will come as a surprise to some but two guys having personalised arguments kills interest for everyone else. For the record, that same stuff happens of boards.ie too so I dont know why that is being made out to be so great.

Anyway, as you were.

It happens on all sites. But the way all mods are listed and there is full list of rules on the site and an actual system in place for when those rules are broken it makes site better.

At him for no reason? Says the apparent new guy who has no idea of the history of any other thread or poster involved. Playing the man? Says the lad who called him a dose?
