Return Of Underage Football.

Great to see plenty of games back at underage level.
Some big results with Dunmore beating Claregalway in minor A , Tuam beating Corofin in 14 A.
Some rural clubs may be struggling but underage football has never been stronger.

Does the heart good, if anything looks like more kids out with hurls and playing ball up here. Was driving by Good Council this morning, the club pitches and public pitches adjoining were all full of kids & teenagers playing.

Do you know if they plan to go ahead with the Hogancup this year?

Fair play to Aaron. Laughing in the face of adversity. An inspirational young fella.

No they've scrapped it. The Leinster and Ulster provincial competitions hadn't been finished before the lockdown so they were allowed to be played to a conclusion but the GAA decided to not go to the All Ireland stage. Very disappointing for all that would be involved. The Paul McGirr cup which is u16.5 was at the All Ireland final stage between the Sem St Brendans Killarney and Colm O'Rourke's school St Pats Navan and the GAA won't allowed that to be played either. Extremely bad decision in my opinion.

Crazy decision, so with 3 games to go in the Hogan and 1 in the McgGirr they pull the plug denying young lads who've been working hard with nearly a year a chance to pick up a schools medal.

Surely there couldn't be much danger in finishing it off and if so will there be any schools football this season?
