It's good your parents let you listen to grown up programmes on the radio, keep listening you might learn something, then again.

The gist of your contribution to this thread has been that we should just go back playing games, to hell with the consequences and if people don't like/follow GAA then that's their lookout. They can stay locked up at at home, sure it's all they want to do anyway because they are boring and "contribute nothing to society" It is an extremely selfish and frankly stupid viewpoint. Saw on Twitter 5 out of the 10 flights arriving at Dublin Airport tomorrow are from America. Passangers are asked to quarantine on arrival but its not mandatory.. What was the point of lockown if things like that going on. Simon Coveney talking drivel

Totally agree. That's a joke altogether. We shouldn't be allowing anyone in from virus hotspots. Telling people they MUST quarantine for 2 weeks. Not a hope people are going to do that.

Yea unless you have a compulsory quarantine it doesn't work and you then need to track and enforce. However it would be interesting to know the number of passengers and not the number of flights and if those passengers were Irish passport holders. The 10 flights were I believe up to 8.30 in the morning and its before this time that all the US flights for the day come in - so thats it for the whole day from the US. There are I think perhaps about 80 flights a day into Dublin - it doesn't make it any better and nobody is releasing the numbers of people and who they are however I would guess that the vast majority will be Irish passport holders. Thing is I don't know and neither does that boy from cavan looking at twitter but I do know that the 5 out of 10 is misleading and attention grabbing but as I didn't see it myself I won't judge the reason for that.

5 out of the first 10 arriving tomorrow are from America. You can look up Dublin Airport if you think its misleading. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2216 - 13/07/2020 18:55:46 2283976 Link 1 |
I don't think any people here are complaining about games been back, we're delighted I've been the challenge games myself the last 3 days, I just think people are cognizant of relatives in the vulnerable bracket and hope others act responsibly, with your input the last few days hard to trust you in that regard.

And when flight 20 arrives its 5 our of 20 and when flight 80 arrives its 5 out of 80. However even if you cannot comprehend how a headline of 5 out of the first 10 flights could be used as an attention gabbing and misleading headline about the risks posed then read again what you originally said "Saw on Twitter 5 out of the 10 flights arriving at Dublin Airport tomorrow are from America". Rather than deal in facts some look for scapegoats.

5 out of the 1st 10 is a bit different to 5 out of 10 as you stated. 6% of all flights v's 50% you implied
