Plenty of head room Mick, there are a few special players in that team who will go on to be great players, i have huge time for Sean O Shea, i think hes a genius, Tom O Sullivan, would walk onto any county team and be one of the best. While im not quite there with the (unprecedented) hype around Young David - fine player that he is, there is not doubting the massive and endless potential there and id be fairly confident he will achieve it, if he stays hale and hearty.

What must be pleasing is that they are all in the sub 23 bracket and in two or three cycles you would be confident with Kerry producing the talent to fill the gaps and adding more quality to that team in key areas as cycles go on.

It all seems nicely timed with the end of our cycle coming and the changes in Dublin. I do see a more competitive period coming elsewhere also. Galway and Cork are building nicely toward an appex, while Dublin, Tyrone, Mayo, may have appexed, you can imagine a few kicks along the way coming down from it, as others work their way up. The pack i think is expanding with those on their way up and those coming down. Should be all good fun in the next few years.

I expect us to be competitive, but not an imperious as we have been, we will regress to 2011/2012 standard in my opinion - competitive but not unbeatable."

He is a special player but searing pace plays a huge role in that. He is nearly 27 (at his peak) but by 28/9 mere mortals start to lose their speed. Some hang on to the speed longer than others but it is such a huge part of his play I don't see him making a return if he stays out of the game for 2 years. He might get away with one year away."
