Replying To KeshGFC:  "ach aye fair nuff. Hurson was good in so far as he was equally bad to both sides lol though I read where the umpires behind the town end goal called for a penalty and black card for cavan defender when Ciaran Corrigan was flattened with 10 mins to go. trouble is that Hurson already said he took a dive in first half so maybe he had him pigeon-holed in his mind as a diver and not to be trusted
That game was there for us, but you Cavan boys were more economical and quickly realised that ball into the square was going to pay off.
13 wides to 3 though ...says it all"
Aye indeed. We were economical enough, although did fluff a lot of ball in the forwards too. When Galligan got that point which he palmed over the bar in the 2nd half, you could see that there was something to be got there. Our first goal was fortunate enough in that Kiernan was looking for a point, but it came up short, the second was definitely being dropped into the box looking for Galligan though. Yeah the forward mark worked for us too. Scored 3 out of the 4 we got. That and all your wides makes for a difference alright on the scoreboard. Ye do shoot from odd angles though, a bit more forward work and playing men into position, or holding on when at a bad angle rather than shooting anyways, and you'd get more out of it. Didn't know that the umpires signaled for that, odd that happened but maybe ref had his mind made up as you say or had saw it differently.

Impressive win for Roscommon at the weekend. So, against the odds they are sitting in 3rd place behind Cavan and Armagh. It looks like they might survive. I still think that Westmeath are going to be the surprise package in this division and will get promoted. Cavan are obviously the standout Div 1 quality team in this Division, all other teams would struggle in Div 1 and drop down next year again. With 4 teams on 5 points its all to play for, Cavan and Westmeath are probably going up, with Clare and Fermanagh going down.

Mystic Meg has returned. How much will Roscommon lose by this weekend? Just so I know what to expect when I attend the game.

Wind up merchant, Have to question the mentality of someone who comes on here posting drivil to get a trill. Absolute garbage that post above.

This group will get very interesting if Kildare get 2 points this weekend. Surely there is a kick in them!!

another weekend in div2 and really and truly we're no further on to see who's going to move away from the pack. obviously cavan look good to stay at the top but we have Kildare followed by Roscommon in the last two games so could easily fall back to midtable by the last day.

Laois v Kildare.......................Kildare have disappointed me so far. they have had a lot of success recently. so this is baffling. laois bounced back last week and even though they weren't hugely impressive they're still in the hunt. Laois here
Fermanagh v Armagh...................could this be the weekend? I can see Fermanagh causing an upset here, big game for Armagh, if they want to get to the top table its time they make a move. Roscommon the following week won't be forgiving
Roscommon v Westmeath..........Roscommon here, they'll push on hard for promotion. a lot of defectors this year but in fairness there's still a lot of quality in Roscommon, big momentum too after last weeks win
Cavan v Clare.........................Clare I always saw as a good football team and could've beat cavan two years ago but I expect cavan to win this one.

The minute you start expecting Cavan to win is the time they will lose... bitter experience.

Don't go back down to division 4 with a whimper go for some sort of record.
Say the most sendings off in a game or the best stag party in has history.
U know stuff ye are good at.

Clare and Cavan drawing at the moment. If Clare could sneak that there'll only by 2 points between promotion and relegation.

The league is really showing this year that there is a leading 7 counties and then about 15-16 teams (including meath) that are tier 2 and then 9-10 that are tier 3.
