Mayo need to do a Donegal , go down and help develop the younger players building confidence playing inferior opposition in Div 2,
Horan i might add needs a No2 to help him out on the tactical side of the game.
They are getting carved open way too easily and its becoming all to familiar now.

Last time we were in Navan 3 years ago Damo Comer was not playing. Picked up a hamstring injury before throw in today so misses out again. Hopefully we have enough in our depth to compensate.

Replying To moc.dna:  "Of course it was tactical, Tyrone management use situations like that to intimidate. Look at the level they descended to v Donegal at U21 a few years ago, no coincidence that it is the same county that are involved over & over again. If they meet Galway late in the C'ship, they will target certain Galway players. I was a few yards away in Croke Park a few years ago when the Gooch had his eyes gouged deliberately. When you descend to that level, there isn't much too you as a sportsman & this auld shite that everybody is at it & it's a mans game is just bs. Supporters jumping in & getting involved in tunnel melees is something you don't see in any other sport.
It is only a matter of time before a child gets hurt as a result of a melee, remember the Ulster quarter final in 2014 Cavan v Armagh & kids who were only inches away in the stand as players from both sides punched the heads off each other on the hoarding & young kids playing in the marching band had to run for it as they fought right beside them. One player couldn't play the game & had his arm put in a sling even though he was togged to start. The then President described it as unsightly & as usual the token slap on the wrists ensued.
Discipline in the GAA is non existent & inconsistent."
What is your problem with tyrone. Jump on the anti northern bandwagon.

Replying To Wally:  "Does anyone have any credible evidence to prove that a Tyrone supporter started the fight?

I am not dismissing it as untrue I just find it fascinating that a bunch of faceless and nameless people on forums like this can dictate the narrative without any proof whatsoever.

From the footage that RTE captured you cannot tell who started it or even clearly who was involved.

I couldnt be at the match as I was at a conference in Alberta Canada; but I have a friend who was at the match and was situated right above the tunnel and he said that from what he could see it was a Dublin supporter who ran down the tunnel just after the players and he looked like he was in the business of starting a ruckus.

Just saying."
A conference in Alberta ha, Jaysus isn't that a coincidence now. You definitely weren't the buck who started it so. Alibi sorted.
By the way, why did you feel the need to share that piece of information about what and where you were with us ?
Doubt you'd be telling us if it was a conference in Leitrim. God but snobbery is alive and well and thriving.

Replying To Joxer:  "Coming out of the ground there were rumours that Tyrone fans set upon a Dublin player but nothing concrete although certainly a Tyrone player started the pushing and shoving it seems. The ironic thing about all of this is that all we hear about every week is "if this was Tyrone this" and "if this was Tyrone that". It will be interesting to see what Sean and Oisin have to say on this one because, as we know, Ulster people generally circle the wagons on these matters. One thing I will say though, if 2 Dublin fans jumped out of the Hill and punched a Tyrone player the terrace would be torn down. Let's see how it plays out but I foresee a brush and a carpet."
Previous post you said something along the lines of let's not discuss what "might" of started the row in the tunnel - because you haven't a clue what started it have you? But now here you are making all sorts of allegations - throwing mud hoping it sticks, deflecting from any misdemeanours of the Dubs. You could learn from some of your fellow county contributors - both teams well able to dish it out as with all top teams

Surprised at the lack of headlines about the rumble in the tunnel. I was at the so-called battle of Omagh. 20 grown men doing the conga and not a blow struck but from the ullagoning headlines you'd think WW3 had broken out. There were blows struck this time and no national headlines yet. This of course means that the video is inconclusive and they can't pin it entirely on Tyrone. If it means sanctions on both teams, that doesn't fit the blue idolatry narrative, and then there won't be much said about it.

Character building but a win is a win. No Damo Comer did not help. I expected it to be close and so it was.

The day that was in it did not suit in fairness. We did not play anywhere near our ability. Partly down to the opposition. Would need to see it in full again as appeared plenty of pulling on both sides.

It probably doesnt suit them at the moment but I agree with royaldunne. And what does that say about Galway?

It tells me that you are deluding yourself if you think you will come anywhere close to Dublin at the business end of the championship.

Hopefully it will be a Galway v Donegal Div 1 Final.
Donegal will have to beat Kerry away!

A Tyrone fan also reported this above. I don't think that fan is a journalist for the "Southern" media but feel free to ask him.
