November 09, 2020Date for your diary - Blessington AGM Mon 30 Nov 2020 on Zoom. Notice of AGM, Motions/ Recommendations and Nomination papers have been sent out by email to all our paid-up members. If any member has not received them, please contact Noreen on 0872858375. Motions and Nominations are to be returned by Monday 9 November 2020. Final papers and link to Zoom will be sent out on 20 November 2020.
Academy – Thanks to Sadhbh Fisher and Anna Vas from the Ladies Senior squad along with Austin Brennan and James Dooley from the Minor squad who attended the Academy on Sat 7 Nov. Many thanks from the Academy Coaches.
Healthy Clubs Programme– One of the many initiatives that The Healthy Club Project Team was to introduce a healthy eating program into our schools. We had a nutritionist organised to go in and demonstrate how to cook simple healthy meals. Because of Covid-19 and restrictions and under government guidelines this had to be cancelled. Some of the HCP team have put a few videos together to demonstrate a few recipes. Thanks so much to David Boothman on the brilliant editing and helping to make us look convincing!! All the videos are on our Facebook page. First up is Michelle and Lauren Richardson making a Banana and Berry Smoothie. Next up is Lisa Jackson and Mikey making Chile Con Carne and then Karen, Brian and Conor Richardson with Scrambled Egg Muffins. Certainly, nice easy recipes for young and old to make and enjoy.
Social inclusion sessions - A fantastic morning of our inclusion session with these amazing bunch of children. There was great participation and plenty of laughs. A great way to start your Sunday.
Lotto – The last lotto draw was held on 3 November. No winner of the €2800 jackpot. Numbers drawn were 1,12,15,21. 2 winners matched 3 numbers - Sean/Jackie Boland and Peggy McDonnell and each win €150. Next draw 17 Nov. Jackpot €3000. Lines available to purchase at Hennessys Next door, players or committee €2 a line.
