Feargal Logan will team up with double All-Ireland winning captain Brian Dooher as the new joint managers of the Tyrone senior football team.
The duo have been appointed for a three-year term, replacing Mickey Harte, who recently stepped down after 18 seasons in charge of the Red Hands and has since taken over Louth. Stewartstown man Logan led Tyrone to All-Ireland U21 glory in 2015 and has been seen as an obvious choice to succeed the long-serving Harte for some time now.
Dooher, who captained the Red Hands to Sam Maguire Cup triumphs in 2005 and '08, acted as a selector in Logan's successful U21 management team. Peter Canavan was also part of the Tyrone U21 set-up from five years ago, but, with his son Darragh a member of the senior squad, the fellow All-Ireland winner has said he won't be getting involved at this time.
Tyrone GAA wish to formally announce the appointment of Fergal Logan and Brian Dooher as the new Joint Managers of Tyrone Senior Football team. Both have been appointed and ratified for a 3 year period.
