Killeeshil club notes

November 19, 2020

Lucky 4 results for Monday 16th November were 4 6 23 26, there were no jackpot winners on the night with Cara Holland and Emma Donaghy picking up the lucky dip prizes. Thanks again to all our supporters who play Lucky 4 each week as our stand in weekly draw, with Covid still being a hot topic we still cannot go back out and sell our Alphalot Draw but hopefully that day is coming soon.

Our football season is over for the year but hopefully not for the season, a decision from Tyrone CCC has stated that no more club football will be played in 2020 but they intend to complete all outstanding fixtures and are hopeful of a window of opportunity
to do so in early 2021.

With the hope of football returning in early 2021 our Club must continue to prepare and we are at present on the lookout for a Ladies Senior Management team. Our Ladies have been on the up these past few seasons and although without silverware in 2020, their first year back in Senior football took them to the Senior League Final, a fine achievement in itself, so with a well balanced squad of very talented youth and battle hardened experience, the future of Ladies Senior Football in Killeeshil is strong and bright and something to be looked forward to. If you like to register your interest and follow in the very successful footsteps off our previous management team of Damian, Ciaran and Gary, then please leave your name with our Club Secretary Dominic.

Our Senior men and ladies are out and about selling Last One Standing competition sheets at present, all you have to do is pick a Premier League team each week to win their game, get to the last round of fixtures without being knocked out, win the last fixture and bingo, £500 better off, simple. Be sure and don’t miss out, first round of fixtures are 28th November so get your £10 entry fee and get your predictions worked out. Contact any committee member to request an entry sheet.

Mass for Deceased Members of the Club will be held on Sunday 13th December in Tullyallen Chapel at 11am. For anyone who can’t attend on the day, Fr Hannigan celebrates the Mass online so you can be there virtually. To access our Mass on the 13th or indeed any Sunday, log onto Killeeshil Parish, click on Live Feed the sit back and join in.

Again we ask anyone who has yet to renew their Cairde Chill Iseal Membership to please contact any committee member and get signed up again.
We’ll soon have another Klubfunder Christmas Draw up and running with some terrific prizes up for grabs. Please keep an eye on our Facebook Page for when the Draw goes live.

Killeeshil GFC send its sincere condolences to The McGarvey, Somerville Family, Lurganbouy, on the death of Neil, a player on our first ever team in 1956 and to The Mulgrew Family, Ballynahaye, on the death of Mickey. Mary, Queen of the Gael, Pray for them.
