ladies final is at 13:45, over at 15:00.. (60 mins game and 15 min half time) and allowing 10 mins for presentation / injury time, 45 - 50 minute drive to Trim / Navan. you would be at the ground an hour and 15 minutes before game.

As i said players may choose not to do it. but its definitely do able. and with football all ireland there was no alternative.

if the football all Ireland wasnt on, there would be 2 double headers in trim and navan on the saturday evening like normal.
People like yourself constantly complaining and having no creditable alternatives won't get us anywhere.

anyone know when the League Div 1 final will be played? I see Kiltale and Kilmessan are down to play the semi final on Sunday at 11am. Someone told me Kiltale were lodging an objection to Kildalkey being in the final over the Ratoath game not played or not valid or something.

The fixture for Sunday is the Brendan Davis cup semi final, not the league.

The Kiltale objection story makes no sense. Firstly, Kiltale don't care who they play as they're the best team out there anyway. Then, if you look at the table Kildalkey and Kiltale have 12 points, next up is Trim on 10 points. Even if Kildalkey had lost to Ratoath they'd be on 10 points and in the final since they beat Trim in the head to head.

kiltale and kilmessan are due to play brendan d semi this sunday on the fixtures

the div 1 league final was originally fixed for july but the meath u20s were playing same day so kildalkey objected to playing without them and it has never been refixed

I would think you have wires crossed somewhere

i was thinking kildalkey were safe enough in that league final even with the ratoath game abandonded. but sure some lads love a good story anyway. was there fines imposed on both clubs after that or what? i see Longwood are down to play senchelstown in football the same evening they might be playing hurling semi final whats that about?

The football game that day is provisional and will be pushed out probably by a week if Longwood win on Sunday.
