I recently transferred from one club to another, inside the county.
I received consent from my origin club, and signed all the paper work, with my destination club handing in the forms in.
Everything is above board, yet I still haven't received any word on whether my transfer has gone through or not, nor has either club secretary's.
Is there anywhere I can view the live registry of approved transfer to date?
Keith."
Deadline for interclub transfers is tomorrow evening. A list of approved transfers will be emailed out to all club secretaries after the committee meets to review transfers. If both clubs are consenting it should go through in the coming week and you'll be eligible for the first round of the league.
I'd be keen to see it myself, I had my papers in well before Christmas, countless emails from myself and club secretaries and not a single response, or even acknowledgement.
In an ideal world the Official Meath GAA website should have the details up within a few hours of the decisions being made. Then again we are talking about ordinary club players, who are presently seen as important for only a few weeks of the year. This is usually in October and November when the public pay good money to see the concluding stages of the various championships and when THE COUNTY BOARD turn a profit or a loss. THEN and ONLY THEN do you matter.
But if you are involved in say U21 in December you again turn into a nuisance and you become a Double Nuisance if your game has to be played at night in Dungany where God Forbid lights have to be turned on.
Closing date was last Tuesday. Ccc I'm told will look at them tonight and take it from there If all signed up then no problem if not it take another few weeks for decisions to be announced as time for appeals ect have to be factored in
