Junior Finals

(Oldest Posts First)

Just wondering does anyone else think it's very harsh that Ratoath have been fixed to play the Junior C football final at 11.30am the morning after they are also due to play the Junior A hurling final, happened last weekend aswell with the junior D semifinal fixed for the night before the Junior A semi finals. Not a huge crossover between the teams but still not very fair on lads who are playing both. Particularly when it comes to 2 finals 1 day after another (although admittedly no fixture out yet for the hurling final, but that has been the weekend down on the planner for months for the hurling finals)

If that is correct it is very harsh! looks like Junior C and D are not held in very high regard - one final is in Paddy OBrien park and the other is in Dunganny!

Bad job the Junior C and D should be in Navan the week after the County Final

Both timing and venues are wrong. As regards the timing of both finals, if there is any crossover of players the games should not be played on successive days. In both cases as there are not the club's first teams Leinster Club Championship is not an issue so why compromise player welfare for the sake of a few days. As regards the venues, no respect being shown to the finals especially the Dunsany game as there is not even a scoreboard there.
Those finals should be in PT or Trim but with Trim involved both to PT.
Ah but then again it's ONLY Junior is probably the mindset.

Blackhall have contested 3 of the last 5 Junior C finals. All three were played in PT. A drawn replay was played at Kilbride. I agree it should be given the respect and PT be used for all adult finals regardless of grade.

Ratoath have 8or 9 player involved in junior hurling on sat and then out in junior C football on Sunday morning
Playing game in Paddy O Brien park at 11.30 and right next door Pairc Tealtean is empty
BUT ITS ONLY JUNIOR C

Agreed that all county finals should be played in Pairc Tailteann. Also on a side note, the Junior B, C and D finals should have been played weeks if not months ago. No reason for these championships to be held up during summer months.

On a side note, I believe Dunboyne and Vincents players were out having a drink together in a well known Sunday night establishment. When all is said and done that's what makes it special, they are a credit Vincents and hope they go far now.

Well done to Ratoath on there Junior C win
Well deserved and particularly with so many young lads on the team
Couldn't make the game but looking at the score obviously dominated the game
Should fair well in Junior B next year

Away to the Offaly Intermediate champions (St. Brigid's or Ferbane).
Fair play to the second team on their Junior C win. Glad to see that the Junior D final was moved to a weekend slot in Navan.
