Any sign of who is on the panel?
Is there a competition before the championship or any games announced?
Will many(if any) players from last years U17s on the panel?

i always feel its a bad time of the year for U20 football championship

Always preferred how the U20 football championship was played during the summer months years ago

We should have a good team. Would I be right that minor team players that beat Dublin two years ago would still be available. The under 17 winners and last years minors (who were a very strong team but only in the first half v Dublin showed their true form. ) should form a potentially a strong under 20. We should be contenders to win leinster title and I will be disappointed if we dont win. The gap at minor and under 17 has closed with Dublin and kildare. And we now need to turn all this work and talk of work at underage into silverware. A title at under 20 would be a start. But the new template for underage sucess is multiple titles in a row. Something Cavan kildare Roscommon and Clare hurlers all achieved. We need to see titles being won now in the 4 or 5 years in leinster at the new under 17 and under 20 grades.

Indeed, those minors will be available, hard to know how many U17s from last year will be available as they will be doing their leaving very I think.
The only negative for me, is losing Barry Callaghan and his backroom team. I'm sure Brian Farrell will do his best, but no real experience.

Think you are right yeah.
I actually like the format too, great for young players to get games. But I do wonder is there a competition before champ?

I assume he wasn't given the job because of last year's disappointment of getting knocked out in the first round

Barry Callaghan had job he had to step out personal reasons great pity of all the coaches involved he was doing the best I think not knocking the other lads just thought he was goin right path quicker than the others. Was a senior manager in waiting still could b there yet.

I believe that Barry would have been manager but had to step down due to personal reasons, Brian Farrell was part of the set up last year
