Replying To Analyst:  "Just seen that U21 final between Tones and Ratoath is fixed for 17th December...... doesn't that really make little of the competition and the teams. 2 more weeks training to take them up to xmas. Practically no break not to mention causing havoc with Christmas preparations etc. A disgrace if the truth be told. If its a draw replay is Christmas eve"
I agree the way in which the county board threat this competition is a joke It should be over and done with by mid November and give the players a break after training 11 months of the year. In the division 2 final killary have been waiting over a month since winning there semi final and there expected to just keep training and wait a month when they should be finished and taken a break from football as the seasons long enough.

Not only that but they have now shoved the U21 Hurling Final out to next TUESDAY NIGHT at 8pm in Dunganny when it was originally scheduled for tomorrow afternoon.

Who makes these crazy decisions??????

What a total kick in the face for players, most importantly, but also supporters, club members, families etc. Let's shove a Championship Final in on a Tuesday night and not take into account school, work, college for the lads the next day not to mention the fact that a Tuesday night in Dunganny is no platform for any kind of a Championship final.

An absolute disgrace.

O reilly, mcgarry and diamond were all minor in 2015 with Dan o Neill. Cian O neill was only minor 2016 so younger again

I think the Tones have 3 or 4 U17 lads on the team and from the report on the Hogan Stand 7 of the minor team playing. Definitely a very young team.

U21 hurling title to add to this year's collection. Well done to all the players.

Commiserations to Na Fianna. Two injury time points won it for us but we would have had no complaints had we lost last night. Na Fianna were the better side for a good chunk of the game. In the first half especially, they will be kicking themselves for all the wides they had.

An inevitable word on the pitch. Yesterday's game could have been a great spectacle if it wasn't for the state of the pitch. In no way is Dunganny suited to hurling even at the best of times. Also, one of the floodlights wasn't switched on until the second half meaning that one side of the pitch near the halfway line was very dark. Not fair one bit on any of the players to have to play a county final on that pitch.

3/4 for my predictions wont be too bad.
Dunboyne cannot seem to get over the line in tight games in all age groups. So much talent but Jones was a huge loss. Ratoath were very impressive against Dusnhaughlin and will round off a year with a win next Sunday.
Killary must be huge favourites if the rumours of Moriarty being injured is true. I would have expected a win regardless.
Moynalty/Carnaross will cruise through Bective/Dunsany. Too much scoring threat for Bective/Dunsany missing a lot of players.

2 Under 21 Finals remaining

Bective/Dunsany v Carnaross/Moynalty - tomorrow night in Dunganny - I fancy Carnaross/Moynalty for that!

Sunday in Pairc Tailteainn - Wolf Tones v Ratoath - I expect a really tight game there - two clubs who have had phenomenal under age success this year. Very tight game in teh Senior Champiuonship - extra time and Tones by a point! Something similar on Sunday???

Going for Wolfe Tones, wouldn't be surprised if it went the other way though.

Very good under 21 final to round out the season! Thought tones midfielder padraig diamond had a great game. O fionnagain caused Ratoath serious problems too! Ahearn looked good for Ratoath but they didn't play much into him! Ratoath started badly but grew into it but think tones deserved it! Referee gave a couple of weird calls especially playing 3 minutes es extra time in extra time
