Half the passion my eye..The Players and management are training 6 nights a week so stop talking crap... very easy to go to games and make 5000 comments on this and appear passionate .Now Im not doubting royaldunnes passion he clearly loves Meath football ,fair play to him
But Meaths Downfall is the lack of quality Footballers at the minute simple as.But Hopefully we will begin to make small steps forward

Well obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, but at the Kildare/Meath game last year I saw zero.

We will do well to play Dublin next year. Longford would be around on par with us to be honest and if we are to lose the players said above we are going to be in serious trouble. We don't have the players anymore simple as that. i used to love a Meath v Dublin match but we are so far off them now its crazy and the gap is widening so maybe a loss to Longford might not be the worst idea.

Haha realdub.
I don't mind it at all. Nothing and no one will ever dilute my passion for Meath , and indeed football in general. I love it, I'm counting down the days to obc in Jan .
Now maybe its easier for me as I fondly remember Meath been unstoppable, and I have full belief it will return, those of us who still go to games up and down country buy the New Jersey's and hope against hope will get our reward.
A wiser man than me once said, to truly experience euphoria you must have felt all the lows.
That's why to people like yourself I have nothing only respect for, you were around (actually on field) during some low ebbs in Dublin football.
I will keep positive and passionate, and nothing will bring me down.

And the Dublin Gaa basketball team."
5 minutes? I can tell you one thing if I was on against Kildare I'd be off within 3 , but i would have made Flynn would have been gone too. :)

Now RoyalD you should know that you win very little on the side line watching on. Mayo lost an Ai by a rush of blood to the head by a certain player. Discipline, Discipline.

Heard it all now, maybe it would be better to lose to Longford, what utter garbage. We won't get better against the likes of the Dubs by not playing them. Absolutely idiotic logic from some on here.

Every team including the best can get a hiding !
Very easy from your armchair to criticise lads putting there life on hold to play for there county and say they have no passion. There not training 6 nights a week to go out And not try In games! A lack of passion would be to drop off the panel and not even try

Yeah of course losing by 16 to 20 points like the previous occasions will be a great benefit wont it . we would be better play weaker teams then getting another hiding from them Do you not understand that or do you still think getting a hammering will help us ?
History would show you we are knocked out by weak teams in the back door straight after we get these hidings by either Kildare or Dublin

I've played against Meath teams in 'friendly' matches who tried harder than that.

So Is that your answer to Meaths problems..More Passion and to try harder..This bunch are trying there best in my opinion but just are not good enough 1-15..Cream always rises to the top, thats why the same teams are always playing in League and All Ireland Finals..They have the Best players and that is proven year after year..Meath had that in the 90s, Top players that the current squad cant match

Do you know what? It would be a far greater benefit that not playing them at all. All that would do would allow the gap to increase so much that the players wouldn't have any clue of what they were aiming at. If they were playing them, and as expected losing, then they'd know what they'd have to do to try and close that gap. As I said not playing them at all brings zero benefit, and the number of former Meath players who have stated that the county's main aim should be to ascend to division one where we'd play the best teams in the country, no doubt agree with me, not your idiotic defeatism.

Realdub you haven't got a clue.

The meath panel last year trained extremely hard and gave up their lives for the county. We are not entitled to beat Kildare and last year they were better. Fair play to them.

But even if we were better and beat them, we'd still get hammered by Dublin like they were.
