Recently retired Limerick All-Ireland winner Shane Dowling will dip his toes into club coaching for the first time.
The Na Piarsaigh forward has been appointed coach and selector of Clare side St Joseph's Doora-Barefield for the 2021 season. Dowling, who called time on his inter-county career at the age of 27 due to injury back in July, will work alongside new manager Michael Guilfoyle.
One of Clare's most successful clubs having won the All-Ireland senior hurling title in 1999 and produced players of the calibre of Jamesie O'Connor, Seanie McMahon and Ollie Baker, St Joseph's Doora-Barefield are currently plying their trade in the intermediate grade.
