Kieran Kennedy RIP

We extend deepest sympathy to Seamus Kennedy, club officer, player and teacher in the Community College on the sudden and untimely death of his beloved brother Kieran last weekend. Kieran is also mourned by his loving mother Mary, father Jim sister Eveleen and brothers John and Joseph. Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.

AGM

The AGM of the Club will take place hopefully on Sunday Dec 13 at a venue or a method to be arranged depending on the Covid-19 situation. Despite this awful pandemic great things have come to us in 2020. There were 13 new babies born to club members, we won the County Senior Final, the U12 girls won their final and Under 15 boys had a great win over St Mary’s. The Junior B reached the final yet to be played and to cap it all Mohill Sports and Leisure Committee got the top award in the Leader Fund. We must really count our blessings. 

Leader Grant

Town buzzing at the awarding of €300000 from the Leader Fund last week. Work will commence as soon as possible and we have received congratulatory messages and promises of help to fundraise for the small amount always necessary to back up this great grant.

Underage training and running

Teenage running and underage training under Covid strict rules continues in the Park. There is a big turnout for both and the young people are contacted on their Whatsap group re time and day depending on the weather. Needless to say we are indebted to Paul Murphy and his army of coaches who are giving their time for the good of the mental and physical health of these young people.  

And our ladies won the Intermediate Championship

History Books

Hope no one is disappointed as we have managed to distribute all the excess history books. Everyone in Mohill and beyond is aware of our history now. The good news is that work is underway for a catch up edition to cover the last five golden years.

New Baby

Congratulations to Sinéad and Mark Bohan on the birth of their little baby girl Félagh, her two little brothers are delighted.  ,
