Donegal’s 1-22 to 0-13 Ulster SFC semi-final win over Armagh last Saturday has been described as “one of the best performances we've seen in a long time from any team” by former Tir Chonaill ace Brendan Devenney.

Speaking to RTE’s Game On last night, Devenney was fulsome in his praise of Declan Bonner’s charges who will be aiming to claim a third Anglo Celt Cup in a row when they take on Cavan at the Athletic Grounds next Sunday (4pm).

“It was one of the best performances we've seen in a long time from any team,” he remarked.

“After the water break, Donegal hit them for 1-07 to a point. That's the best 15 minutes I've seen a team play in five or six years.

"It was out of this world.

“We're waiting for Armagh to come into Division 1, but you can see the gap between Division 1 and 2.”
