The Dubs Propaganda Machine - 16 Like(s)
The Dubs propaganda machine has kicked into gear proper this week with diamonds from manager Jim Gavin blaming cold play for Dean Rocks black card.

Also Charlie Redmonds attack on Jim McGuinness for calling Jim Gavin out on the Diarmuid Connolly fiasco.

And then last night I read Alan Brogan going to town on Nial Morgan for goading a player when the Dubs team under Pillar took that art to new heights them selves in the naughties.

Who's next on the Dubs propaganda hit list? Let's watch this space.

Leinster Football Championship - 10 Like(s)

Replying To Royal.Legend:  "Bar mayo dublin have been miles better then everyone outside of leinster too, that dominance will come to a end sooner or later it always does to great teams, the leinster championship through the 90s to the mid naughties was a great championship and it will be again. So keep watching and we'll show ye how to beat dublin in a championship game in Croke park."
No offense but ye are miles off this Dublin team. I saw yer league final against Donegal and ye showed flashes of good football but in fairness when Donegal got tired of playing around with ye they put the boot down and blew ye away. You say Dublins dominance is coming to an end when it's a fact they're team is actually getting younger ! I can't see Dublin regressing enough where ye'l beat them tbh. Kildare have the players that could rattle them in time but not this year, and they are the closest to Dublin in Leinster. I think Dublin will be in no mood for messing around in Leinster this summer so god help ye if ye meet.

No More Cheap Shots from Dublin And Kerry - 9 Like(s)

Replying To TheHermit:  "Yes that would be good, for example I can't see how bringing up Dublin's massive financial advantages or home games etc etc in a discussion on the GAA and where it is going is "insulting" to anyone - it's a fact. Bias as I am, but for me the Dublin posters are the worst offenders in all this, constantly goading Kerry, insulting the county's past AI's as well as their players and of course posters. For example lately there is all this stuff being posted about Donaghy somehow being a professional during his playing days? I'd like to add that a very vocal Dublin poster has been on here before laughing at injuries his team inflicted on a young opponent, surely that is red card territory? As regards the above, I'd also have my suspicion that some Dublin posters are also working as moderates on here judging by what some of them are allowed post so again this needs to be called out if it is the case."
100% the hermit, also admin need to pull posters who have more than 1 account which I believe there are quite a few on here. There are a lot of dubs on hoganstand------.

Replying To Dubh_linn:  "Ah , sure you'll probably get subsidized for that misfortune. Poor farmers can claim for pretty much anything now. The Dubs will fork out for ye again. Great little gravy train."

Replying To catch22:  "I'll tell you one thing Mick ,and I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this boy , you'll find that you will get a hard time of it for you're sportsmanship. You'll be told you're an imposter by those who prefer that they control the narrative and don't like it when the bully boy tactics don't put a lad off. I am sure that Kerry supporters don't like the current dominance by the Dubs but it's good to know that there's a contingent that recognise them for what they are and can perhaps begrudgingly admire the standards that they have set for all others to try and emulate. The couple of posters you refer to are accommodated more than most on here by the moderators and I think there does need to be more stringent policing of how they continue to sidetrack every thread with their bitterness and downright bad manners. I wish you the best of luck as long as you are posting here."

I never liked Kennelly, he always came across as arrogant, what he did to Nicholas Murphy and the dancing on the podium after the 09 final was a total joke.

Jim again you say something controversial and when pulled on it you change your attack. Who mentioned anything about people with mental issues, coz I can't see that post anywhere and you were the only 1 to mention it, maybe you thought you were logged in under another username ?

Pat Spillane - "Dubs Can Be Rattled" - 7 Like(s)

Replying To jimbodub:  "Fair play to you Pat there's a few that could do well to listen to you! Any top team with their crap together can and have rattled this Dublin team across this decade. They've also done more than rattle Dublin.. but they've convincingly beaten them! It's been hugely competitive stuff. Some of the most incredible games you're ever likely to witness. Just think back.. think of the classic games witnessed across this decade. No cake walk All Ireland's this decade! It's a pity that hasn't been adequately recognised by a sort of oddly self serving revisionism which doesn't tally up with the games themselves.. but there's an agenda there and there's a lot being conveniently forgotten about to serve it. Which again is a pity. It should be about more than that. The doom and gloomers will have you believe Dublin are almost invisible! Utter rubbish. Daft. The stats are there in black and white and Mr Spillane is spot on in this regard and this decade will continue to be hugely competitive across 2018. Just like every other Football championship across this decade. It's already been proven across NFL Div 1 2018 and Pat.. you'll be proven right across the Championship 2018."
Ye have the refs and home advantage and all the money , that's hard to beat jim.

What are you on about jim? Who mentioned anything about mental health? I just read back over the last 10-12 posts and nowhere did I see anyone mentioning it? Waiting for lily langer to appear any minute now.

Posters Crossing The Line - 7 Like(s)

Replying To greysoil:  "Have noticed an emerging unsavoury tone by some posters of late. Indeed, what is surprising is the posts that are being generated by users that would have appeared level headed before. There is no place for personal slights on players or indirectly on their families. Important to remember that these are amateurs giving a big chunk of their time to their counties & for our entertainment. Keep the slagging general. We never know the impact of flippant commentary. #Give respect. Get respect."
Certain people on here can't hold their temper greysoil and can't handle people having different opinions to their own. I respect everyone's opinion, I don't always agree with them and il always come up with arguments to back up my own opinion . Live and let live I always say, but it was very wrong of that poster in question to go after a 19 year old amateur footballer.

Counties Missed Opportunities.... - 7 Like(s)

Replying To jacktheDub:  "Kerry 15, 16 and 19. 4 opportunities to stop the 5 in a row in its tracks and failed. Must really hurt. Honourable mention to Mayo who also had 4 opportunities but at least they pushed the Dubs all the way with the exception of 19."
This is the second dublin poster in 2 days (Breffni 39 being the other) trying to bate Kerry posters into a reaction, where is the outcry from every1 at these posters trying to ruin a thread!? Yer all very quick to jump down the throats of us kerry poster but there are obviously double standards. Personly iv no problem with this as il argue my side no problem but don't ye be coming on here then saying its us kerry posters that's turning every thread in to a kerry dublin thing.

Did Jonny Cooper dive? - 7 Like(s)

Replying To The_Fridge:  "Just seen the replays. I feel he did make a meal of it. No contact to the head however he held his head as if it was. I remember he was involved in an incident in the league against Tyrone with Mark Bradley and he hit the deck after instigating a row. Duscuss."
It was an awful dive by Jonny cooper and not a word on the Sunday game about it. Jonny is good at running into fellas and getting them booked, remember Seamus O'Shea in 2015 and Brendan Murphy this year just to name a few.

Can Success Be Bought With Money? - 7 Like(s)
I'd say give Jim McGuinness 5 million euros and 5 years and he'd win an allireland with Leitrim. Jim Gavin could probably do it in the same time frame but he'd probably need 50 million euros :-0

Sean Boylan Vs Jim Gavin - Who Is The Greatest? - 7 Like(s)

Replying To TheUsername:  "Laughing here, definition of off the cuff football, 15 men behind the ball. Teams are afraid of their lives to open up against Dublin. Dublin were a level ahead of all the chasing pack, Kerry, Tyrone, Mayo, Galway, Donegal, Mongahan etc all came up to Croke Park put a defensive shield in place and Dublin asked to break them down. I think the teams that were in the pack were very evenly matched. Only Mayo got close to us really. Donegal were deserved winners in 2014 and that became the archetypal way to play Dublin that has continued to now, it only worked once. Games are a two way process really, when you play blanket stuff your proposing a style of a game. All Dublin can do is squeeze the pips. Take this years final, in the end it was easy, 6 points ahead, nonchalantly knocking the ball in front of a Kerry blanket defense. Begging them to come meet you in open play, didnt happen and so the five in a row was surrendered. Dublin had to develop and did develop a skill set around the blanket. But Dublin can and have play the game anywhere. I think their hasnt ever been a more creative and offensive team, i havnt seen a better one, that is annoying for others i suspect. Dublin are different, some counties rely in the main of a key player, Clifford, Murphy etc etc, better counties two or three. The focus of the game is all around these players and letting them the ball, Clifford and Kerry are a perfect example, which is why i dont think they will be a great thing when they eventually dsoo win the All Ireland. Dublin are different, when you look at star players over these years, Brogans, Connollys, Flynns Kilkennys, Mannions, Rocks, King Cons. Other counties are happy to play through their one or two cult players. Its not about the player its about the collective. That makes Dublin collectively different offensively to any side ever and produced a beautiful brand of football, whee space just appears. Why? because making the gap is as good a goal. Look at the scoring charts, bring your best and it doesn't compare. I was looking at the Chicago Bulls thing on Netflix the other day and when their coach came in, the empahiss became less on Jordan on the ball and more on the collective and the method achieving that as a unit, space, motion, combinations of both. That is exactly what Dublin have did. Im not sure Dessie will go down that route, but Dublin impact on the evolution of the game and attacking play has been revolutionary. Other counties couldn't keep up or had the players to. The result was essentially the mass panic, blanket defense and hope for counter. The only team ive seen who came to Dublin and opened up were Cork last year fair play to them. Ive left grounds, being dissapointed thinking counties were better then they were, but coming up and changing their way and style of playing to play Dublin and the inevitable happens. That is one of the differences that saw Dublin become the greatest Gaelic team of all time. There isnt a team in GAA i look at think the were more creative and expansive then Dublin really."
Well Dr Zhivago, il address a couple of the points you made here, Number 1 in nearly every sport in the world you will see the team that's travelling to play another team on their home patch adapt a defensive setup ( to try and quiten the home fans and get in the heads of the opposition) and then they play a counter attacking game, you would know this if ye ever had to go and play a meaningful game outside of Croker (and I don't mean a 1st round leinster or dead rubber super 8 game) how easy was it for Jim gavin knowing this and being able to plan accordingly. Number 2 you say there hasn't been a more creative or attacking team then dublin, well you've shown yourself up there with that comment typical of a fan who only started following the game in 2011, all dublins games look the very same they all melt into 1. You yourself didn't remember jonny Cooper and Kilkenny being on the dublin team in in 2012 you said that yourself only a page back and you had to be correct by a couple of your own posters I was scarlett for you.
