O'Hara, Tim

Tim was a member of the famous Caulry team that won the junior championship in 1957 and which went unbeaten in 39 games in all competitions that year.

Despite living and working in Dublin for over 45 years, he rarely missed a Caulry match or function. Regardless of the result, Tim always had words of encouragement for the players when they left the field. Following the death of his wife Betty eight years ago, he returned to live in his native Mount Temple.

The large crowds which attended his funeral in the south Westmeath village bore testament to the high esteem in which he was held.
