Jimmy was a past player who was club president up until his death. During his long involvement with Bunbrosna, he played a key role in the development of the club's facilities. A minute's silence was observed as a mark of respect for Jimmy and former Crookedwood hurler Michael Murtagh - whose nephew Kenneth Conroy plays with Bunbrosna - before last October's senior football final at Cusack Park.
