Martinstown, Collinstown native Seamus Gavigan passed away on Tuesday, August 16th, 2016 in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England, where he had lived for many years. In the colours of Gleniden Hurling Club - which would amalgamate with Collinstown, Fore and Rickardstown in 1969 to form Lough Lene Gaels - Seamus won a Westmeath junior hurling championship medal in 1954. He emigrated to England that same year.
