Good footballing family, glad to hear he's okay.

Anyone know where the team of the weeks are gone? Enjoyed them, pity if they've stopped

I'd imagine they will be back after the next round of games, last weekends matches were only half a round so maybe they didn't bother doing one until thee is a full round of matches??

Missed this post originally and couldn't agree more.

Ashbourne beat Duleek by 21 points today. Far too many clubs threading water at senior grade.Needs to be cut down to about 14 teams in my view.

another solid win for dunboyne tonight and another outstanding performance from donal lenihan, he stood out as by far the best player on the pitch against Ratoath last week and again tonight, if he could bring this club form to the county stage we could have a real classy forward..

Andy gave a fine point kicking display and I don't want to take anything away from him he's a good player, but D/B were very poor.

They looked like a junior team out there, and Andy has played FF for Meath in the past and struggled I think he's best out around the 40.

Hasn't played very often at full forward.. He hasn't the stamina for been played out the field at county level.

Ziggy.. Lenihan played a centre forward last night and as previous poster said was pure class. His pace and power together with ball striking is a joy to watch. I know there is a big step up from club to county but surely he has the raw materials to make it. By the way Dunboyne's pace throughout the team is incredible they were very impressive again last night. Deserving favourites for Keegan Cup based on outings so far.

Surely thats what pre season and league for meath is for, to build players stamina along with everything else?

Here Here. Far too many clubs in divisions where the get one result and stay up. This is not what competition is about. Highlights why the mass relegation proposals being defeated was such a bad bad bad move. Clubs need to forget their own interests and think of the greater good. when you see teams getting bet by 20+ points at the weekend you really have to ask what is the point of them being in that division?

Yes but some players are just better in certain positions.
