Fair play to Longwood , would of been some result had they pulled it out of the bag but would of been an injustice
as they have been the worst newly promoted Senior Team in recent history
Id say that will be the end of Oisin McConville, Would auld Damien Sheridan take them over again?

Yeah just looked like most of the Seneschalstown players thought it was only a case of just turning up. Really flat and couldn't cope with Longwoods intensity. Cathal Finnegan wasn't getting any service and seneschalstown seem to struggle when they can't get him into the game. Seneschalstowns wing half forward (Clarke I think) scored a few vital frees in the first half and work rate was unbelievable.

Seneschalstown will count themselves extremely lucky and will have to do a lot of work to do to stay in Div 1 and senior next year.

Fair play to longwood, gave it a great go after what must have been a tough year, should do well in intermediate next year.

Longwood came with a plan to frustrate and they executed it extremely well. In this game they were the better team but maybe that senior inexperience came against them, or the fact they had not been in such a good position in any of their championship games this year. Eoin Lynch and Mickey Burke really stood up for them. Seneschalstown were shocking and were not helped by going for long periods without scoring in each half. Interestingly Bryan Clarke was Seneschalstowns most influential player with 6 points, even though himself and Mickey Burke were (supposed to be) marking each other It was nervy for both players and supporters, but somehow they pulled it out of the bag with one of their only goal chances and managed to stay senior for the 53rd consecutive year.

The first bit of fallout from the relegation battles seems to be underway with strong suggestions Tony Kearney is leaving the Tones and joining Moynalty for the start of the 2020 campaign. The fact this info has come from someone connected with his "new" club would suggest there's some substance behind it.
I had posted earlier on this thread I thought he should stay on but it looks like that's not the case...….
