Clinical if unentertaining win for Don/Ash against Moynalvey but theyre surely worried about these slow starts was the same against Longwood. RR (Meath) - Posts: 74 - 07/09/2019 19:02:11 2233460 Link 0 |
Donaghmore/Ashbourne couldn't buy a Keegan Cup. They are defintely not remotely even close to being contenders . I mean if I have been watching their decline for the last 3 years and it's worse their getting. Their is a tanking coming , probably be next Round.

13 points in a game! It was a perfect evening - I'd say they are more worried about their scoring ability

Can't see any of the qualifiers in group B doing it. None of them have impressed to be honest. Wouldn't be surprised if all three were to be knocked out in their next games, depending on the results today. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1198 - 08/09/2019 10:36:29 2233517 Link 10 |
I guess time will tell but what was interesting was that Ratoath brought Joey Wallace Cian O'brien Gavin McGowan in off the bench today and it was the first time this year that McGill and McMahon played together for the club I think they will be stronger in the knockout stages! They should have won a keegan by now after so many years of top underage teams. I feel like they've missed their chance and other clubs have caught up or surpassed them in terms of underage development.

Yeah they had one underage side who won at every grade including minor in think it was 2013. Only the McGovern's have really progressed altho they had mick deegan's son in that side as well

Was at the Dunboyne Simonstown game! Result was never in doubt! Simonstown by far the better team. Sean Tobin had a really good game. Lenihan was very well marshalled - Simonstown won the midfield battle ASaminthehand (Meath) - Posts: 292 - 08/09/2019 17:43:09 2233593 Link 0 |

Anyone wanna try to explain how they rank 3 teams on the same points. Assumed that it was points difference but supposedly Skryne have qualified in second place in group A because they beat O'Mahony's and Dunshaughlin. O'Mahony's are out. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1198 - 08/09/2019 20:45:47 2233650 Link 9 |
if three teams finish level on points it goes on head to head. Skryne bet Dunshaughlin and O'Mahonys so they finish second, Dunshaughlin bet O'mahonys so they finish third. If three teams finish level and they all have beaten each other it goes to score difference. Maestro (Meath) - Posts: 473 - 08/09/2019 21:00:23 2233655 Link 0 |
I'm not sure who is in or out with 3 teams on equal points- the rule governing this does not say that head to head is ahead of point difference. League table put points difference ahead of head to head-take your pick!. Dun/Ash as far as I know was the only Meath team to win a Leinster minor championship. Kells and Simonstown look the strongest teams at this stage, but a bit to go yet.

I haven't looked at the tables but as far as I know if 3 team finish level on points it goes straight to score difference

The rules governing clearly say head to head is to be used ahead if point difference......
