Lived in bettystown for a number of years, and always have a close affinity to them as would know a few involved in club and couple of players. But no I am Ballinabracky through and through.

Fingers crossed for 2 cracking semi finals at the weekend.
I'm thinking/hoping that Simonstown will just have enough to get over the line against Summerhill but I can't see more than 2-3 points being the difference but one bit of luck either way could be the difference.

In the second semi, again, it is hard to call. I didn't see rataoth vs skrin, but from what I hear, it's very hard to tell how good rataoth were/how bad skrin were. Before the qf's, I would have said that Kell's would get past Rataoth, should they meet and they've probably been the most consistant team all year so I'm gonna say Kell's by 2

Think our game with Simonstown will be touch and Go , but it will that little bit of genius or luck thats the difference
This Simonstown team have been on the road and have serious miles on the clock so I hope that we can get over them as once you get to the final , anything can happen

Kells and Rathoath- This Kells team have been the most consistent in the county last few years and I think they have to deliver , They are rightfully raging hot favourites for this game as I think they are a great team ,Mattimoe and Beano are the best club forwards in the county who consistently deliver , ands their backs are a v strong unit - Kells by 3

I wouldn't say that this Simonstown team have serious miles on the clock. I think they have done a good job at bringing youth into the team. If you compared the starting 15 from their first championship and their starting 15 in 2019, there are good number of younger players in the side now. Yes, there are also some older players but with the exception of 2 or 3 players, the majority of the team would be under 30. I'd hazard a guess that there is more miles on the summerhill clock.

Nash is home but I can't imagine there is any way that Hawthorns would allow him to play, especially as he is a 1st team player now

i think ratoath will beat kells by 5 or more if they keep mattimoe and hanlon quiet.. kells defenders are suspect.

simonstown by 5 plus in other semi. they are the best team left in championship. hunger only issue with them.

Summerhill V Simonstown will be tight. Ye cant help but wonder who have Summerhill actually beaten thus far that would be regarded as a big gun. They lost to Ashbourne who are very poor, got extremely lucky V Ratoath when Wallace presented them with goal to win it after losing for the whole game to win by 1 point , beat Moynalvey by few scores before beating Longwood, Rathkenny and Na Fianna all who are poor. You could hardly say they have had it tough.

On other side Simonstown have beaten Wolfe Tones, Dunboyne, St Colmcilles, Dunshaughlin and Na Fianna. This is clearly the better form and on that basis I have to lean with Simonstown. If Nash plays they will defintely win.

Kells V Ratoath.

Tight one this too. Hard to guage Ratoath but they could possibly pull off a shock here or it may not even be that big of a shock. They stuffed Scrin who were shocking but one gets the impression they have big men around the middle and hot forwards to hurt Kells where they perhaps are week. But Kells forwards if they fire this could be real cracking contest and they should win but dont be surprised if its more of the bridesmaid and never the bride with Kells.

Always find it funny how people call Kells 'the most consistent team' over the last few years. They didn't even make a semi last year, and have never made the final. Simonstown won 2 of last 3 championships and this is their 4th semi in a row. Summerhill looking to get into their 3rd final in a row. That seems more consistent to me

Agree, the winners will come form the Summerhill/Simonstown semi final. They have been very consistent in the competition over the last few years.

Don't know about that
I think there's nothing between any of them
Wide open

Think we are going to get 2 cracking games! I am wavering on my original thoughts of a Simonstown Kells final! I think there will be only a score or two in it in both games!

Summerhill good value for their win yesterday but I think the winner will come from today's semifinal

Ratoath will win their semi by as much as they like.
Summerhill should get the better of Simonstown in the other by 2/3
Doesn't really matter who wins the second one,
Ratoath for their first of many Keegan Cups."
Start gathering the pallets and tyres.
Keegan cup, junior B, u21s & Club of the year.
All coming to Ratoath.
THE HATERS WILL HATE!!!!!

Just don't think Kells will ever be able to do it when it really matters

Congrats to the most consistent team in Meath doing what they do and consistently losing in a quarter or semi-final. No doubt if this was Ratoath, Don/Ash or Dunboyne they'd be labelled bottlers. From a Meath perspective great to see the Wallaces back playing well, hope they want to play next year if they are in form. With Ratoath's underage conveyor belt this definitely won't be the last final they are in. They are more talented man for man than S'Hill I think but Summerhill with way more experience of a Keegan Cup final might be worth something. Would fancy Ratoath though

Kells may stick to winning A leagues. Leave the Keegan for the big boys

Was Beano playing? I couldn't pick him out, along with the three or four other players that people from kells and the surrounding areas constantly lambaste the Meath Senior team management for not picking. They are very consistent though! The kells mafia have no problem dishing out abuse on social media about players from Ratoath and Ashbourne, however I don't expect them to be as good at taking it!

Kells tactics backfired in the second half. Tried to hold onto lead by slowing game with scummy stuff.
Ratoath proved well able to stand up to physical or dirty play and put them down hard when challenged.

What a day to be a Ratoath man, for years many often wondered when we would see senior football and now the club are in the showpiece of Meath football, wonderful second half performance that being honest you couldn't see coming at half time. I think we are in for a potentially cracking final, Summerhill the only team to beat Ratoath in this years championship and a club with serious pedigree will be a really tough challenge but Ratoath proved today they are up to tough challenges, both teams have great forward players and scorers and PT will be awash with blue and gold, great occasion to look forward too.
