No agenda, just want to see the county team do their best. If Eamon Wallace could get back to his potential I would love to see him on the Meath panel, same with Lenihan. But right now both have a long way to go to be at county level. Don't think that is agenda-driven tbh but sure look it

Quietly expected at a Ratoath win yesterday even though many others didn't. Disappointing result for a club with big things expected of them but two wins from three isn't a bad result and seems to be the going trend.

The Ratoath boys getting very touchy. Ability to play football and ability to watch and give an opinion are two different things. Like I said I hope Eamon Wallace plays like he looked like he could in 2013 for Meath. Connell Ahern plays like he does in flashes and D McGowan uses his brilliant size, athleticism and skill set to show consistent great performances. Because the Meath team will be better because of it. Until then I don't think there's any harm in anybody pointing out things and analyzing games on this forum. There's enough people that don't go to club games on this forum.

If you two are finished, maybe you can let people get back to talking about the Keegan Cup. dorkside (Meath) - Posts: 71 - 13/08/2019 07:43:34 2224995 Link 0 |

Yeah - I was surprised that Ratoath did so well! Summerhill have lost the last two finals and people talking them up - Ratoath had a very young team out and no McGill! And if they had taken their chances they would have won handy!!! The best result of the weekend though was Curraha - I know they are a decent outfit but didn't see that result coming!!! What happened simonstown? Was it that Curraha were good or Simonstown bad?

Reading lots about the Keegan Cup but the Intermediate is wide open with Meath Hill, Ballinlough, Nobber, Oldcastle, Castletown, Trim, Ballinabrackey, Dunderry, Duleek/Bellewstown, Walterstown and Black Hall all still with realistic expectations of qualifying out of their groups going into the second last round. Ballinlough, Nobber, Oldcastle, Castletown, Trim, Ballinabrackey, Dunderry, Duleek and Walterstown to qualify. Junior A championship Ballivor, St Ultans, Moynalty, Dunsany, Clann na Gael, St Vincents, Summerhill or Gael Colmcille to qualify. Simonstown were missing Brian Conlon and McKeever went off at half time But curraha played with real intensity that simonstown didn't match! Don't think one player missing should make that big a difference ! ASaminthehand (Meath) - Posts: 292 - 13/08/2019 17:49:43 2225212 Link 0 |
Start a topic for intermediate and junior so!

11 points in total for Kells last night, not too hectic from their much lauded forwards. southmeathgael (Meath) - Posts: 709 - 15/08/2019 07:40:46 2225890 Link 11 |
Must be McEntees fault

Where have all the kells spokespeople gone? Looks like the championship is a little tougher than the feis cup and the league where there opponents aren't at full strength or as up for the game. I suppose it was Andy McEntee's fault for kells losing last night. What about the best forward in meath? Was he playing last night? Bit of a silly post even by your standard. Played 4 times this year, only one loss hardly the end oh the world.
