Just listened to James Conlan interview approx 3 minutes ( 49th to 52 nd min approx) Articulate young man yes. I was looking for his words used as you describe. Just curious to know how other listeners heard it. ???????

So now you talking about my comments on a match, and stating facts. Well you obviously have a secret crush on the dubs. Proves you not a Meath fan and are exactly the type of "supporter " james Conlon was speaking about.

Soecsavers do hearing aids too. He said there was a lot of crap talked after dubs match, and the real supporters were the ones who turned up at every game. Not verbatim but that's what he said. Listen again, also to the guys doing podcast and listen to their opinions on the so called supporters. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 17035 - 09/07/2019 23:13:24 2208768 Link 0 |
And a dub. I'm a Meath supporter, (hardly expect you to understand) but he could walk on water and to me he is still a dub, and not worthy of talking about. I'd prefer to praise Donal Keoghan, Pauric harnan , Brian menton, micky Newman, james Conlon, Mickey burke (a man you slated many times on here) men both young and old who give their all for their county from October/November for no financial rewards, no 6k per appearance, no ,for the love of Meath, and then to get slated by some of their own? While the praise others with every resource under the sun. Fans like you this Meath team can do without, join the many dubs in aig tops if that's what you want. However I will wear the green and gold till I die and proudly say they are as good as any other county. REAL SUPPORTER HON THE ROYAL. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 17035 - 09/07/2019 23:26:40 2208777 Link 0 |
Stop digging RD. Was curious how others heard his contribution. Over and out. As they say in USA "have a nice day"

Haven't added my thoughts into this thread until now because tbh I needed a few days to process the Clare game, soak up the media reaction to the game and the other games and watch the highlights again (well all 2/3 minutes of them!). We should be proud of this team lads. They've done very well, it seems that there is a growing consensus among supporters of the achievements of the year being genuinely remarkable. Definitely my best year following Meath since the late "noughties" when I was a young lad. What struck me most was the mental strength shown vs. Clare. That simple ingredient has been missing for years and Ive seen it numerous times this year, v. Armagh and Kildare in the league, v. a rampant Offaly in the championship and now after a tough game against Clare. Im also pragmatic and I see that none of those teams are considered elite, but still, Meath had to go to the grindstone numerous times this year and have delivered on all occasions. The Leinster final was what it was and they could've absolutely collapsed but the resolve shown in the Rd.4 qualifier was great and it has perhaps put to bed the weakness against pressure of the past 5/6 years, time will tell. Your knowledge of football is very questionable, hope Meath put in 3 good performances, maybe squeeze one result at best.

Funny you havnt said any reply to my 1st comment where you were banging on about how I went over the top about the dublin game ! Peope would have more respect for you if you just held your hands up and said fair enough I was wrong ! And again pal who the hell are you to say whether any fan is worthy of supporting this team.

Yet "slating" Cillian O'Sullivan is just fine as long as you're the one that's doing it? Does he not give his all for his county for no financial rewards? Admit it, you give yourself carte blanche to criticise certain players yet you treat any criticism of your favourite players (and McEntee) as "abuse". I know you won't even have the balls to address any points made, you'll just pat yourself on the back once again. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1198 - 10/07/2019 10:10:08 2208884 Link 15 |
He's clueless Ratoath Royal. Nobody takes him serious on here.

A big ask for 17 year old Shane Walsh to make a start against Donegal. Its one thing to come on against a Clare team that given it everything to starting against Donegal. I dont know much about him to be honest, but about he did look super for time he was on the last day. But it would be un fair to start him IMO.

Paddy Mc Brearty made his debut for Donegal as a 17 year old. If you're old enough, you're good enough as they say. Shane must be 18 shortly though?

RD ...your credibility is st an all time low , especially since you as a Meathmancalled for Padded Goalposts ! You should apologize to all posters here for shaming your fellow countymen with such a namby pamby suggestion ! noluso (Meath) - Posts: 151 - 10/07/2019 13:58:42 2209053 Link 5 |
In fairness you did predict that Brennan would have a "field day" against Dublin. Im not sure if youre a St Colmcilles man either. Chatting to two Cilles lads in Portlaoise last night that also frequent this forum and they never heard of you
