The case is simply that, until a Meath team wins the Intermediate All-Ireland club championship, they won't play in the senior club championship. Ratoath Royal (Meath) - Posts: 1198 - 08/08/2019 10:21:04 2222593 Link 9 |
Apart from Kiltale in Leinster, can we see any team in Meath put up a decent show in this years championship at all? Longwood did their bit already, in what was a good game. Surely there is a team that could push them? Meathman678 (Meath) - Posts: 55 - 08/08/2019 13:47:53 2222669 Link 0 |
I wouldn't write off trim yet, has anyone looked st there team that played Blackhall, half strength and heard majority of team were in Galway all week.......

''James Andrews, Ryan Andrews, Ger Dwane, Colm McGrath, David Murtagh (0-1), James Toher, Sean McGee, Damo McGee (0-6), Dylan Farrell, Ian Birmingham(0-2),Peter Farrell, Mikie Cole (1-1), Neil Heffernan (0-2), Brian Dowling (0-1) Mikie Cullen'' Don't see many missing apart from Douglas and Dimmy H from this anyway, unless theres a few more? Charlie Ennis and Luke Moran, both inter county seniors in past 2 years. Conor Quigley and Cian Lee, 6/15 is a lot! Meathgaalad (Meath) - Posts: 120 - 08/08/2019 15:34:59 2222717 Link 0 |
I still can't see them landing a blow at all. Ennis is a good keeper at the same time, could fill Mcganns boots next year in the sticks for Meath.

I know, I don't really see them beating kiltale either but I think they are second best team by a good bit, if they can get rid of a few week links (slow players) they'll do well! Shocking against Blackhall due to attitude, Blackhall deserved a win! Meathgaalad (Meath) - Posts: 120 - 08/08/2019 17:01:00 2222745 Link 0 |

You're being very selective with those claims - Luke Moran was a sub in the first two games and Quigley came on against BHG. Cian Lee is on their 2nd team.

Kiltale will win at least 2 more championships before Trim take over. overthehill72 (Meath) - Posts: 334 - 16/08/2019 12:02:51 2226348 Link 0 |
Well done to Blackhall on a deserved win. Had they luck on their side this year they would be as good as qualified now. Theheinoking (Meath) - Posts: 109 - 16/08/2019 12:58:05 2226381 Link 0 |
Kilmessian in trouble now after last nights result Irish_downunder (Meath) - Posts: 476 - 16/08/2019 14:02:55 2226408 Link 0 |
Not being selective at all, Luke Moran has been in England since before the championship has started and returns next week, Conor Quigley came on in injury time and Cian Lee has played one second team game due to playing League of Ireland football, but will feature heavily for Trim seniors soon.

Kilmessan very poor last night. Resorted to dirty play in the final 20 minutes. Bad refereeing too. Jackpot (Meath) - Posts: 199 - 16/08/2019 18:12:26 2226526 Link 0 |
Senior and Intermediate Semi/Quarter Finalists as good as all known in Hurling Championships with a Round to go and other than Drumree v Tones game to decide 4th team in IHC A only a bit of jockeying for places left to play for Brownepat (Meath) - Posts: 463 - 19/08/2019 22:04:34 2227693 Link 0 |
Senior Group A not fully kow yet i think, if longwood and kildalkey win their last games it comes dowm to score difference for a semi final spot, anyone know what the formula is for winners of qtr finals of who play who in both inter and senior StickFan (Meath) - Posts: 192 - 20/08/2019 08:31:46 2227759 Link 0 |

Assuming it's the same as last year (which was set well in advance, despite some conspiracy theories about Kildalkey somehow changing the draw at the last minute....) it'll be 1st in Group B vs. 4th in Group A, winner plays 1st in Group A. and it'll be 2nd in Group B vs. 3rd in Group A, winner plays 2nd in Group A.
